Thanks SamMost likely your device order in the devicesorting file. See: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8844-Mud-s-Profile/page29&highlight=devicesorting

Hi Mud,
Just wanted to say thanks so much for this profile. I had a few issues with device sorting, but after reading what everyone had to say in this thread, my Warthog is now working perfectly with BMS. Thanks!

Mud, I recently did a reinstall if 4.33U1. I can’t get uncage nor nose-wheel-steering nor guns to fire from my warthog. The inputs are registering. Here is my Devicesorting.txt
{0402044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Thrustmaster Combined”
{0404044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “F16 MFD 1”

{FFFF044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Joystick - HOTAS Warthog”I know how well this profile runs. I’ve used it for a year. Do I remove the MFDs and put my pedals on line 2?

I’m not at home now, so I can’t check my own devicesorting.txt, but try changing yours to:
{0402044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} "Thrustmaster Combined" {B352044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} "Logitech G940 Pedals"

I FIGURED IT OUT!
I updated my firmware and drivers to the Warthog. Now, the MFD lines disappear in the devicesorting.txt file and are replaced with TWO…. yes… TWO Thrustmaster Combined lines! It turns out that since I run the pedals through my aux stick (my Logitech G940) I have to stick that on the bottom and the pedals after the Thrustmaster.
{0402044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Thrustmaster Combined”
{FFFF044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Thrustmaster Combined”
{C2AA046D-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Logitech G940 Pedals”
{C2A8046D-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Logitech G940 Joystick”I don’t know why it works… it just does. Screw it.
THANK YOU FOR THE BEST PROFILE OUT THERE BRO!

Glad to hear you got it sorted!

Hello Mud
Will it be updated to the new version BMS 4.33 U2 ?
thxDepends, is the script not working properly in the new update?
I haven’t flown BMS in quite some time, but if things need sorting I’ll gladly take care of it.Br,

Mud - Thanks for the profile. First time I’ve got my joystick to work in a week. I’m just getting initially setup and the joystick stuff was a bit overwhelming. One question for you, if I’d like to change a few of the commands, is it better for me to do it through the TARGET software, or within the game keystroke settings?
-
Hey Macman,
You could do either, but I think editing the profile is going to be easier. Especially if you’re just planning on swapping some things around.
Br,

Thanks.

Mud - One more question, your TARGET file has a .tmc extension, however my TARGET can only edit files with an .fcf extension. I can run your file in the game, but cannot access it through TARGET to edit it. Any ideas?

Make sure you use the TARGET Script Editor, and not the TARGET GUI to open / edit the file.

OK., thank you for the assistance.

Hello, I am new to this sim, just picked it as GOG.com is having a 50% off sale. I updated to BMS 4.33 U1. I am running into two issues that I think are related, I hope to get help.
Using warthog joystick and throttle with g940 rudder pedals (which requires the g940 joystick to be connected as well). Also have connected a saitek throttle quadrant for playing il2 bos.1. Even with setting the axismapping.dat and the joystick.cal to read only I still have the axis all messed up. I have noticed that it defaults to the saitek throttle quadrant instead of the warthog virtual hotas. When I got in to select the warthog as the default and reset my axis, I then can fly stick/rudder/throttle, but the button mapping doesn’t work.
2. I have tried to modify the script to automatically start Falcon 4, hoping it would fix the axis reset issue, but I have the syntax messed up. I also tried deleting the couger mfd panel commands which is why it states line 337, used to be 414, I have the following entered:
//Launch Falcon BMS 4.33
system(“spawn -w “E:\Games\Falcon 4.0\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1” “E:\Games\Falcon 4.0\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Launcher.exe””);
}Which gives me the following error:
Compile Error: Syntax error: E in BMS 4.33 - Mud.tmc at line 337Any help or guidance would be useful. I am going to try with the saitek throttle disconnected, but I can’t disconnect the g940 joystick unless i buy new pedals.
Thanks

1. With the current version of BMS I don’t think you still have to set the two files to read only.
Apart from that make sure your device sorting DeviceSorting.txt is set up correctly, and start the TARGET script before BMS.2. I think you’ve got the backslashes a bit wrong:
Your:
system("spawn -w "E:\\Games\\Falcon 4.0\\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1" "E:\\Games\\Falcon 4.0\\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\\Launcher.exe"");
Should probably be:
system("spawn -w \"E:\\Games\\Falcon 4.0\\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\" \"E:\\Games\\Falcon 4.0\\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\\Launcher.exe\"");

Changing the device sorting seems to have fixed the first problem. I updated the path as you wrote, it still doesn’t start the game. It would be nice to get this to work, but obviously thanks to you I can now play the sim. Thanks! It prints out the following:
