In the released version I will plan to make the following changes in OOB of Eurowar.
- The number of squadrons will be smaller and maybe the qty. of AC in squadrons will be slightly lower to get higer ground unit / AC ratio which means longer campaings because of less firepower.
- The damage of ARMs will be reduced to get better SAM survivability in both 2D and 3D world.
- The number of squadrons at 0 hour of campaign will be smaller some sq. will arrive in the 1st day and some more until 2nd day as reinforcement.
- Maybe I wll create an alternative version of campaign as an “extra stuff” with SOJ AC but for this goal I have to edit the DB and copy the EF-111 as Su-24 ECM variant.

Mi-24 with R-60. I’m sure now that I will give the R-60 capability for Mi-24 before is not as theoretical as I imagined.

Just flew an strike on Koksan from Kunsan. The defenses are tough. Very exciting and fun. I ran into no problems so far.And nope, I didn’t make it. I got schwacked by a MiG-29 right after I evaded 2 x SA-3s and an SA-2. Good times!

I just DLd it and extracted without problem. Try it again DL and use the 7zip for unzipping.

Hello, I’m just trying out the Eurowar campaign for the first time, so far getting shot down left & right SAMs? Yeah, they working that’s all I can say yeah so far it’s a lot of fun. I looked through a few allied squadrons in the campaign and some F4s are flying with Amraams, not sure if that’s intended, they got 2 loaded and possibility to load 2 more for a total of 4 Amraams + 4 sidewinders. Haven’t read this whole thread so yeah, not sure. Could be a problem on my end too

Ouch, I forgot to delete some weapons from F-4F. Thx. the feedback. F-4F will be only AIM-9 capable fighter as was in RL in '80s.

Glad to help, and now I was trying out the mirage but there are huge traffic jams on the ramp in Seosan. I was quick ramp-starting a alert scramble flight but my wingman can’t get to the runway at all and he never got airborne at all for a few minutes (then I got shot down lol). Or another time I’m ramp starting and I see some guy standing alone on the runway forever because his wingmen is stuck, and he just waits there on the runway, etc. Again, could be my install, but it could also be the base design in BMS isn’t suited for high traffic (unfortunately since it’s my favorite airbase lol)

the game does kind of buckle. if the AI frags a million takeoffs in a short period it gets really twitchy. only if you’re on the airfield though. i think if it’s in 2D mode it works fine.

Yes I also think in 2D this works fine. I was just having this theory, that maybe in Seosan this problem is worse than in other bases when you put many squadrons in the base. Not sure of that of course. But in some other bases the aircraft “spawn” a bit away from each other, or taxi ways are configured differently, maybe they don’t have this problem - not sure.
But well at least an air-to-air squadron is definitely needed there because Seosan seems to be the popular location to frag a huge OCA strike package at, if you’re a red AI theater commander that is

I was afraid that on some AB can have traffic jam. So far I have not experienced even I flew some mission with Mirages. On many other airbases have more AC than on Seosan. Strange. Thx. the feeback.

All right downloading the latest version (a little late I know). I’ve always loved this mod so it overjoys me to see it still being developed.

I tested the SOJ effect in TE and campaigns. In stock campaigns won’t be EF-111A but will be another version of Eurowar with a single EF-111 sq. with 2AC and with modified mission profiles to limit their availability.
It is strange but longer range SAMs with longer range radars suffers much more from SOJ than shorter ones.
I changed my workstyle. Instead working rarely a lot I try to work in small steps even I just add 10-15 battalions / day but this leads eventually finished campaigns.

Ok, the Eurowar is almost done. You have to remember that you can play independently the force sliders regardless of default difficulty levels. I underline this because this makes possible to give more ground units to red side while they SAMs and fighters remain the same. With this aspect wide force ratio options - from ~1.75:1:1 up to ~3.5:1 depending they type of unit - will be available not only this but in all campaigns.
I have to place about about 80 more battalions total for both side as reinforcement and some inf. for defense but the core of campaign is done. This is not so much considering this campaign currently has 650 units.

So far I was not able to create Su-24MP as SOJ AC for red side. I have tried all method except copy the whole EF-111A. In case I not succeed won’t be as extra campaigns with SOJ AC as I planned, the extra campaign will be unbalanced in favor to blue side.
Another way is sacrifice one of SOJ AC from EF-111A or EA-6B and convert into Su-24MP. They are both good looking now therefore it is a hard decision which should be selected.

About alternative campaigns. In case blue side have SEAD support I will lover the qty. of SEAD capable AC. I wish do not give up EA-6B or EF-111A, red side simply do not have SOJ AC but can have maybe more SEAD capable.
(In this case historical accuracy will be worse but I do not care.)
