Hi just want to say bms 4.33 looks amazing. Unfortunately I have a problem that hopefully someone could help me with. The fps im getting is just unflyable in the sim. i even switched all the graphics settings to low and turned of Multisampling and tried turning of v sync but nothing is helping… Just wondering if anyone has a rig kinda like my mine and could tell me what kind of FPS they are getting.

Fps looking out the windows is good 40 to 50 but when i look forward in the cockpit fps drops to 20 sometimes 15

      My setup is a core i7 2600 3.4 ghz . GTX 550 TI , 8 Gb ram,

      Can anyone help me out

I have about the same as you, I ended up with settings similar to these http://falcon-online.org/forum/index.php?topic=2104.msg24813;topicseen#new.

Mainly get rid of Per-Pixel lighting. Either turn it off or use Per-vertex.

Also check Nvidia control panel, make sure there is an entry for FalconBMS 4.33 in there, and delete the 4.32 entry. You may have to rename the old 4.32 .exe to prevent conflicts. Then check the power settings in there, make sure its on max performance for everything.

You gain fps but you loose features by doing so…

Is per-pixel vs. per-vertex really that visually altering in 4.33? In 4.32 I couldn’t tell the difference at all in terms of features.

In 4.32 you lost PAPI lights when using per-vertex, at least I did. It seems in 4.33, you do not lose PAPI lights anymore, which is nice.

in 4.33 strange opposite lighting compare 4.32 papi lights.
perpixel in 4.32 is show papi lights
pervertex in 4.42 lose papi lights

perpixel in 4.33 lose papi lights
pervertex in 4.43 is show papi lights

                I am using nvidia gtx750ti

You can copy VS and PS files in Shaders/ from lower shader models (has “fx” in name) around. But make a backup first.

Are you sure you didn’t forget to contact tower? I tested it and had papi lights with both per pixel and per vertex.

Vorox I have the same ridge than you and the same fps problem. Totally solved switching pixel/vertex.

                        Hey Vorox!

I struggled aswell to get decent fps.

I turned multisampling from 7 to 3. FOCUS SHADOWS OFF=10 fps. RAIN RINGS = 5 fps and as they are showing on the wings at 500 knots lol!!! Lower resolution on clouds and reduced particle setting. I went from 40 to 60 fps Maverick TE. Sensor maverick on 50fps from 27. Tgp on 40 to 60.

All other had no or very little effect on my system.

Correct me if I’m wrong but 980ti is inferior to 980gtx.
Kinda a trick of nvidia to fool users used that ti is better than gtx or gt. IIRC.

Oh no… the gtx bit is for both. So GTX980ti is faster than the gtx980

Little bit more of everything… so more shaders more vram etc

There is an option before you launch the main program at the first uiscreen. Configuration. Look at my post and uncheck all boxes I mentioned. It should give you a great start to be able to fly .33.
