KTO Air to Air refuelling practise
for Falcon BMS 4.33 / Korea Theater of Operations (KTO)
TE created by “hoover”
Version 0.02
Hone your AAR skills in this TE based around Kimpo AB. Three tanker tracks are available (Diamond1, Canteen1, Camel1) to the East and West of the airbase, featuring tanker “legs” of varying length. Some packages are bound for target practise at the KOTAR range, feel free to escort them or create a new package of your own. A carrier task force (USS Vinson) is also operating in the waters west of the Korean peninsula.
Some packages will be practising AAR alongside your flight, so things at the tanker might get busy… prepare to form an orderly queue waiting for your turn at the hoseA data cartridge (DTC) is also available for the TE containing stp lines and PPTs outlining the tanker tracks and AWACS location.
Remember to load it before the flight if you want to have those aids available during your mission.Weather has been set using the example FMAP file provided with 4.33.
Installation: Extract the files to your fBMS data/Campaign/Save folder.
Thanks to the BMS team for their tireless efforts in creating the best flight combat sim there is: Falcon BMS 4.33!

Hi folks,
here’s a little update (version 0.02) for the TE above:

Changes:

If you’re looking for an interesting ready-made package, try PKG 4990 (Callsign “Tempest1”), escorting 2 German Tornados (“Buzzsaw 1”) to the KOTAR range. Your flight has been provided 2 GBU12s and a TGP in case the Krauts mess up their attack, so have fun “cleaning up” after them once they’ve finished their run and are headed for the tanker track (“Canteen1” to the North of the range). If you ramp-start, you’ll be treated to some interesting views on the way to the range (I suggest setting VHF to channel 12 to listen in on proximity flights as they’re lining up)
-
More realistic munitions and bags for other packages in the TE
I updated the first post with the new download link.
Enjoy & all the best, Uwe

Just flew 4990 / Tempest 1 again, this time taking off from RW 32@Kimpo. The Tornado drivers appeared to be more or less sober this time and didn’t fall off the boom even once:

Thanks Uwe

+1.
And it’s always good to know that you appreciated us Tornado drivers don’t like Coke.
Best regards,

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, Sting
I’m working on an update including the Harrier, the Viggen and some more variety w/r to F-16 models using Osan and Kunsan ABs, maybe I’ll get around to a release this weekend. I’d also love to do something about the “beached whale” that is the Vinson right now, perhaps moving it out to sea a bit further.
Cheers, Uwe

hoover, is this KTO AAR TE still usable in 4.33 U1?
-
Yep, still appears to work fine. I just had good fun with “Tempest 1” again…
All the best, Uwe
