    Utilizing Shift or Modifier Keys within SIM to add functionality to joystick map

      Hi Huge fan Falcon 4 BMS btw thanks for all your work DEVS!

      Question: Do we have within the SIM Shift Key functionality which would allow you to say use button 2 to add alternative functions to keymaps within the sim? I have searched the forums without any luck.

      An example of this functionality would be in dcs world where you click advanced under controls and click add ‘Modifier key’
      for example any key press which then doubles the mapping of all the buttons on your joystick hat switch for example to be used as DMS hat switch and then holding the Shift key would allow you to map the same hat switch with ‘+ Shift’ to be mapped to TMS hat switch functions.

      I know the X-52 software has that function as well but I have tried the software and it is terrible to say the least. I also no longer have X-52.

      I was curious if Falcon 4 has this? Thank you for any help in advance. Love all the New Features in BMS keep up the great work!

        Yes. SimHotasPinkyShift.

        There is extensive documentation on keyfiles in the Docs folder of your install. Especially worth noting is Kolbes keyfile building spreadsheet.

        For an example on a similar HOTAS, have a look at my keyfile for the X52 Pro. This is, I think, in line with what you’re looking for.

        And I 100% agree with you on staying away from the Saitek software to the greatest extent possible.

            Wow what did that make my head spin clear around lol excellent impementation though integrating all 3 aspects of the joysticks fuctions and maps. This video was very helped as well~! though subtitled in English

            now second question do you think there would be any objection for having 2 shift modifiers used for the joystick? for example using both
            SimHotasPinkyShift
            for the second layer of Hotas functions

            and then mapping SimHotasShift ie. “v”

            to another button on the joystick for a 3rd layer or Mode or is there a better way to do this?

                I might be wrong, but my understanding was that both SimHotasPinkyShift and SimHotasShift access the same layer (the difference being that the former also has the FoV function).
