IVC won't connect
-
Does any one know what would block IVC from connecting.
I recently tried to connect to a friend and we had no issues connecting but IVC wouldn’t connect.
Now I’ve rtfm, forwarded all the ports and we seem to have done everything by the book.
I’ve tried hosting both and we connect in game just no IVC.
He tried hosting both and we couldn’t connect either in game or IVC.
We rebooted both routers and modems with no success connecting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

First, check IVC Client with veterans-gaming.com IP - 199.0.207.230
For this test do not launch BMS !!!

Did you write the same IP host in comms box in ivc? if you leave blank it does not work

This test to check ports ONLY. To launch IVC via BMS do nothing with IVC Client and IVC Server!

if the ports are opened you can use both ways to check, ivc it’s integrated in falcon.

Yes! But via BMS your will not see IVC Client magic word CONNECTED )))

I just connected to VG IVC no problem
Must be on other end
What could be causing that.
Ports are forewarded on his end -
I’m the guy on the other end. I connected to VG. One thing I’m hearing on my end not covered yet is this “chime” sound when we connect. Which I’m assuming is the IVC telling me the connection didn’t happen.
I also confirmed with my ISP that they DO NOT block the ports in question.
There has to be an answer. Appreciate any thoughts you experts have.

Hello pilots! Good news! Now you could check IVC Server and Client without BMS. Usually problem with audio device. You should use simplest 2.1 audio, not 5.1 or 7.1.
Check your sound device at Playback and Capture window!!! To do this test:- do not start BMS, just start Launcher;
- start one IVC server with static IP;
- start two IVC clients;
- pilot with IVC server should put in the IVC Client (Server IP/NS) - 127.0.0.1
- pilot with IVC Client only, should put in the line Server IP/NS IP from another pilot with server;
- both pilots should select simplest sound device in Playback and Capture windows;
- if CONNECTION established start to talk using F1, F2 and F3 buttons (Push-to-Talk). If no sound, play with sound Devices and try to find the simplest !!!
If your could talk, next step - launch BMS and do what you have read in BMS manual.
But don`t forget to select simplest audio Device in IVC Client window before you launch BMS!!!To use IVC via BMS do nothing with IVC Client and IVC Server!
Just open one IVC Server:
and open two or more IVC Clients (up to 32):
Now launch BMS. You will put IVC Server IP via BMS COMM window, IVC line. Don`t forget - IP 127.0.0.1 for pilot with server!!!
As soon as you have BMS MP connection you could start to talk using F1 and F2 buttons (Push-to-Talk) via UI and with UHF/VHF comm button via cockpit (Push-to-Talk).P.S. 2 Baffler. If I get you right, “chime” sound like this one - Communications Distorted Radio Signal Sound effect . You will have this sound effect inside cockpit UHF/VHF communication.
