Catapult launch in F-18 crashes aircraft

Hello everyone!
I have done a bit of searching, and haven’t found anyone with my exact problem as of yet.
I am experiencing the same issue as some others, where my F/A-18D won’t catch on Cat1 in the campaign, but will always catch on Cat2. That would be fine, except on Cat2, whenever I try to launch the jet veers to the right and crashes into the deck and explodes.
Anyone experiencing the same issues/have a solution? I’ve tried with other versions of the F-18, wings folded/unfolded, fast/slow approaches to the Cat, no hands on the stick/hands on the stick, up elevator, try to adjust during launch, etc etc… No breakthroughs yet. -
What are is your frame rate on the carrier? Have you tried it as a single ship package?

…do you have NWS disengaged before you go down the cat stroke?

Yes, I have NWS disabled.

I get pretty good frames on the carrier, between 40 and 60 fps depending on how many other aircraft are on the deck. I’ve done the tutorial mission for cat launches as well, same issue. Package size doesn’t seem to make a difference.
