Warthog trouble
-
Just got a new Warthog and I’m having trouble
1. When going trying to calibrate the throttle the Z axis and the X axis are backwards.2. When putting in a profile in the GUI instead of showing Warthog combined, I get Warthog combined virtual Root.
Anyone know what I’ve done to this new piece of equipment or am I missing something?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Titanium

Need more information.
Provide pictures of:
A. Windows control panel and properties view of axes sliders and buttons lights
B. Where you’re seeing the combined virtual root
C. Windows Device Manager Controlllers HID list showing the Warthog information-
Has the stick and throttle’s firmware been flashed to the latest firmware (v2.26 or better) and passes the verification process? (The firmware updates is in the ProgramFiles/Thrustmaster/Warthog area)

You can invert axes in TARGET or BMS control GUIs.

When did you buy your WH and do you have the receipt in case it needs to be returned?
Slight chance of them being wired wrong upon assembly.

Hey AV8R,
OK here’s the list of things you asked:
1. In the windows control panel when you right click you go into game controllers and that where it starts. It’s in the calibration that it shows the throttle backwards. I’ve never seen a joystick or throttle backwards that’s where trouble starts, but if I go into BMS without loading any Script it will work in the proper way i.e. with the throttle normal. Its when I load a profile in the T.A.G.E.T. GUI that trouble starts. After the script has run it shows at the end Thrustmaster Combined when I go into the BMS load and programming that it shows “thrustmaster combined virtual <root>” that’s what I see and nothing loads right. In all the pictures I’ve seen of the profiles loading it says thrustmaster combined period no virtual root. Now I know there’s a problem with the throttle but could it be maybe I need to reload BMS 4.33 itself? Any way what so you thing I’m going to try to get a hold of Thrustmaster today, but it is Saturday. Thanks Titanium55</root>

Can you show a screen grab of the throttle going backwards? Or a YouTube video if you’re so inclined.
What happens if you don’t use TARGET at all, do the axes go the right way in the Windows control panel?
The reason I ask, is the TM TARGET can program throttle curves and invert axes and map DX buttons. If you’re not using TARGET and things are azz backwards, then Houstin, we have a problem.
Ps you’re welcome. Hit the thanks button under the post you like. It motivates folks.

Hey AV8R I’m in the process of doing a full reinstall and see what happens let you know Soon. Oh on the one question when I did not run target I could get everything to run the correct way. Titanium55

If all is well in the universe without TARGET, then its likely TARGET is configured such to cause the things youre seeing, yes?
So either don’t use TARGET for BMS (I don’t), or find a TARGET script or profile and the BMS.KEY that are known to work together nicely.
Reinstalling BMS will just reset the BMS COntrol GUI and BMS.KEY file and BMS.cfg files back to original state. Does nothing about the TARGET part.
