Few questions

Hi can someone tell me where i find the “falcon BMS.cfg” file? and can anyone tell me what the V Sync does in the graphics settings with it turned on? thanks.

\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\Config\falcon BMS.cfg
V-sync limits the simulation frame rate to match the monitor refresh rate. The upside is that the monitor frame will not be partially consisting of two different render frames which can look a little “torn” which looks like this: http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/scale_super/6/62225/1156042-ggdsg_19.jpg
The downside is that to match with the monitor refresh the frame rate supplied is limited to when the GPU buffer has an entire new frame ready which is effectively a lower frame rate.

Thanks the thing is i read in another thread that the way how someone improved frame rates for 4.33.1 was to edit the falcon BMS.cfg file, but i cant seem to do it. I double click it and it says windows doesnt know how to open the file, with options to find out how to, which dont work.
Its the anisotropic filtering setting. In the setup UI i have it on with the box highlighted green, but in the falcon BMS.cfg file i can apparently configure this so i can set it to a certain number level, which should be 2 according to what a guy posted in a thread over in the tech support forum. -
Open it with any text editor. Notepad can do it. Windows just doesnt automatically think .cfg files are text files.
Id recommend notepad plus plus for the future, incidentally.

Please take the time to read the BMS Manual. It was written to answer all these kinds of questions and save time and effort asking on the forum when you have all that you need to get started with BMS already included in your install.
Pages 24 and 35 for example.

Ah right sorry, up to now i’ve just referred to the manuals to find out about stuff thats related to the sim, rather than the actual setup. I shall do now is it is there which is very helpful. Thanks.
