First and Second Trigger Detent
-
Hello,
I can’t get the second trigger to fire as the first trigger seems to be overlapping it’s command on the second one. When I hit the second detent it keeps adding CTL in front of the second trigger command. They are both set to “Hold” and I even tried a 2000ms delay with no luck. What am I missing here?
MapKey(&Joystick, TG1, L_CTL+‘/’);
MapKey(&Joystick, TG2, R_ALT+‘/’);Thank you!

Use directX…
Or at the least dont use modifier keys, they step on each other when you press two different things at the same time.
By the way, on the cougar the 1st trigger detent stays active while the 2nd trigger detent is depressed. Probably the same for your stick.

The way I mapped this to the Warthog HOTAS was to hold the trigger to the second detent then assign the command, then find the command for first detent and assign that. So do second first and first second, if that makes sense. Then test to make sure second detent button doesn’t show as activated when pressing first detent. Hope this helps a little.

My squad make had problems mapping the secondary trigger stage (detent) also, I advised him to:
1. redo his 433-u1 deviceorder file so the joystick was on top, then throttle, then MFDs, then his G13, lastly his rudders.
2. Use a clean original BMS-full Keyfile
3. Remap this trigger first, apply, test and save
4. Add the mapping of the other controllersWorked like a charm.
