Helios Newbie
-
Greetings Everyone.
After noticing an improvement with 433.1, I decided to reconnect my Cougar MFDs in conjunction with BMS extractor on my spare Monitor. They work great and adds a lot to the immersion.
So I’ve now decided to give Helios a try as I would like to have a few other Gauges on my second screen.
Nothing too fancy at the moment, just the instruments which are required for navigation.
I’m leaning about Binding the Instuments between Helios and BMS but can’t seem to work out how to make the HSI to work. I’ve had no problem with the other gauges such as the ADI which only require Input binding I think.
I’ve tried binding the HSI in the interface only in the Input section. Don’t know if I’m supposed to configure it also in the Output section, but I’m not getting any response when in the 3D world. Was wondering if someone out there has the correct procedure to make the HSI work and if they don’t mind sharing it.
Thanks. Regards Jay. -
The HSI on Helios has always been buggy, as are a few other gauges. I discovered this ages ago in DCS and I don’t think Gadroc has gotten around to fixing it. That’s why I use MFDE gauges and HSI on the secondary screen.

Greetings Ice.
Thanks for your reply. I’ve only recently started experimenting with 3rd party Cockpit Extraction tools. I was under the impression that MFDe was only suitable for extracting MFDs only.
Going to give it a try.
Thanks once again.
Kind regards.
