First mission with training script expierence.
-
Just subscribed to this Forum and took some time to try the gameplay with the older BMS 4.32-Upd7 installation.
The graphics look OK (scenery and cockpit realism very nice) but somewhat lowres and clumsy. By lowres I mean the trainer auto set the resolution to 1024768 from 16801050 because for everything to look normal I understand.
However with the training script turned on (mission 0 ramp takeoff) a lot of things did not go as expected. The first attempts I was convinced that I did something wrong, but now I noticed some commands do not work or the actions don’t go in the right sequence etc… For example the trainer asks to close the canopy for the cockpit noise to lower and no FOC (I believe) to fly in the Engine etc. but the canopy IS already closed! However I need to switch the handle anyway before I can continue with SHIFT+K command and after that the trainer jumps to the next topic. So there is a lot of noise suddenly and during the training I can not close the canopy again!
Also with the throttle to lock in Idle 20% RMP mode the switch is not working. Where is that switch supposed to be on the throttle??
The warning lights panel do not correspond with the trainer’s examples (in my case), even when I did al the actions asked (otherwise it does not skip forward or I do it manually in correct order before using SHIFT+K keystrokes).
I guess this has something to do with the Test panel at which most of the switches are already in the position the trainer asks to set them, so when I flip the switch it sets in the wrong position!
Is there some way to completely reset the cockpit before the trainer is starting or do I need to alter some realism/control settings in the options menu somewhere? -
4.32 have outdated scripts.
Use 4.33 and it’s associated training manuals -
Well, I tried again during the load screen (countdown) clicking ‘Ramp’ in stead of the ‘Runway’ and in that situation the training worked much-much better. Very lengthy training exercise, however very detailed. Only one button for the fire warning or something kept stuck, and could be released after the training instructions. The rest seemed to work except for the HAT test for some reason.
I guess it is also a good thing reading the manuals soon, however I first wanted to start the game without lengthy reading sessions.
At least I now know on what to concentrate on to cover anything I did not fully understand during the first training.
