Data of missiles PK?

Thats a nice list! I’m interested in pre LIMA Sidewinders, in sims those missiles often have really high PK (maybe not to frustrate the player?) than in reality I think. Never had a missile malfunction on any sim.

Missile malfunction is not modeled.

What sim do you refer to exactly and what AIM-9 version in particular?

Any sim in general, the missiles have high PK’s, also missiles never malfunction, you can hit or not, but always deploy properly, there no missiles hanging on the rails or failing to ignite and falling as a rock.

Not firing the rocket motor or not ejecting……not seen that myself either.
When you say sim I take it you don’t include SF where the AIM-9B/E/J and AIM-4D have often been nothing but drag generators over the years…but you could always tweak the parameters with that anyway to get closer to your desired result.

In fact the SF missiles are pretty realistic, and is very satisfying when you can hit something with a Falcon missile. Will try how the P winders will perform on BMS.

The natural guidance inaccuracy is also not modeled. In FF4 (or 5?) missiles after launch sometimes disapperared. It was a bug but I considered a good abstraction of malfunctioned missiles.
I know the DB so I know exacly by modeling values which IR AAM is how good. -
One thing I need to check is how many missile HITS actually destroyed the target and how many only damaged it, in real life I mean.

Almost all AAM hit resulted destroyed AC even from SR IR AAM. In fact I knew only one case when any tactical fighter size jet survived a BVR missile hit, and Iranian F-4 flew home after a hit by Saudi AIM-7 from F-15. (And I has a unconfirmed list from ODS about R-23 hit on F-111.)

I’m getting the same data yes, seems almost 90% or ven more of the hits are actual kills. Will keep digging for PK of older missiles.
