      Greets all,
For some odd reason the UI doesn’t want to scale correctly- there’s about an inch cut off each side of the screen. Scaling seems to work fine in the sim, and even tho I’ve tried all available 16:10 and 16:9 ratios, the UI refuses to show me those outer borders. The ‘exit’ button for the sim is almost off the screen, as are all the button along the right side of the screen in the briefing page.

Can anyone help me please ?

there is an auto button=function on your monitor. Have you tried it?
if its new and doesn’t have this or you are on digital connection just set your resolution from the UI to be the hardware monitor native resolution.

if you don;t know the native resolution find your monitor maker and model and search in Google for your monitor specs or in your manual it must say the native resolution.

Falcon wise if you altered something hw or sw wise erase dx9display.dsp and re run falcon.
The file is located in: C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\Config\

Don’t worry falcon recreated the file.

Sorry but with such little info given that’s all I can think of.

Same directory as Arty listed above, look for falcon bms.cfg file and open that. Look for the setting “set g_bCenterUI 1”. If yours is set to zero change it to one and see if that fixes your problem.

Thanks, it’s always the simple things. set g_bCenterUI was indeed set to zero, changing it to “1”, and hitting the monitor resync fixxed it up. Resync alone shifted tie UI to left justify and didn’t rescale it.

The devil is in the details. 🙂

I’m having a similar problem with the UI except mine doesn’t go to full screen and appears to be like 1440 X 900 instead of 1920 X 1080. Also after I exit the game, some of the desktop icons have been displaced. There are no problems ingame with 3D and the screen resolution is correct. Everything was working fine previously so I’m unsure what happened. I’ve tried the suggestions in this thread such as deleting the dx9display.dsp file and changing the bms config setting “set g_bCenterUI 1” but so far no joy. Desktop and F4 are both set to 16X9 (native) resolution. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

                EDIT

Resetting the Scaling Mode in NVIDIA Control Panel to Full screen, Perform scaling on: GPU and checking the box to override the scaling mode set by games and programs has brought the UI back to 16X9 resolution. Not sure now that I actually like the stretched version as it’s not as well defined as the correct aspect version.
