i do not like graphic rendering , AA - anisotropic - multisampling doesn’t work properly , and shader make a “grid”-“sripes” effects on features really “irritating”
anyway , FPS is good and ( i hope ) it’s only my incompetence with GPU setting -
I’m sure also else ATI wouldn’t exist in our forums…
So guys can you please help Nove here with his jigies???

Did you install a OEM driver or the one that came with the card ??
-
the driver is AMD 15.200.1062.1004
someone tell me to avoid “crimson” … -
This post is deleted! -
You really need to install the latest drivers from AMD, as this card was made for crimson.
-
the driver is AMD 15.200.1062.1004
someone tell me to avoid “crimson” …They are wrong, Bad advice !

old unistalled , new driver installed … but any improvement …
this is my set up in AMD setting ( new one … were’s APPLY button !? )![](https://s32.postimg.org/rg3jzvzo5/bandicam+2016-07-21 12-45-29-614.png)
with all up in falcon UI and config
video is scaled-down , you can’t see weird effect ( “moving” dark stripe and “stain” … ) so
after a lot of test on old and new rig , i can “live” without shader ( bad effect at “middle distance” ) and “zoom” ( there’s polygons overlapping maybe caused by “old” engine ? )
or not ? beacouse ( with the new rig ) i have overlapping problems with my CAD too![](https://s32.postimg.org/ffi3z5s9h/bandicam+2016-07-21 12-56-40-039.png)
maybe if i solve this CAD problems , something better will happen in falcon … working on a 3d features with that noise … isn’t exciting
no problem when features are “near”
some suggestion ? anyway , thanks and sorry for my english
-
and ( sorry )
the weird tiles
?
thanks

From Dema:
About shimmering :
nvidia - ati settings to ‘leave application controls 3d’
–-----------------------------------------
in falcon
graphic all squares > green (checked)
advanced > all squares > green (checked)
in laucher config
double resolution cockpit > checked
hdr > unchecked
10 fps more with original textures and with these mipmapped
these are my prefered settings
About missed textures :
I get to check yet, I’ve an idea about the fact I modified the version 1 and not the 1.1 by Tomcatz (larger) but I didn’t install the 1.1 now so I want to check if in the version 1 original by Tomcatz these texture are missed there.
About mp :
I did a mp mission last week and I had several problems, we were in 9 in flight and the host server had not these textures in its install.
Then, my opinion about mp it’s everybody get to have the same install, host included, textures included, but now we can’t see this without a rapace launcher or programs like that and the best thing to do IMO it’s to share the same install as the host server it has if you are in a Wing.
Just my experience reports.
Try your experience in an install you don’t use in mp.
cheers

I also see the “shimmer” or “Banding” on the tiles at low angles, in the middle distance.
It seemed to be more pronounced in 4.33 u1,
But that has always been there in one form or another ever since Falcon was ported over from Glide. I loved my Voodoo5. Falcon was ment for Open Gl.
When I was young the fish were not only bigger but tasted better too
On a HD-7950 @ 2560 x 1440 and I have tried a few different driver versions.

Strange shadow. I noticed it just once and it was driver settings. Maybe it’s there but not noticeable. And I don’t see it in my screenshots.

with “Anti-aliasing Method” - Supersampling - , give the best render result , but 50% FPS less
thanks

You have “Muiltysampling” ON and “Quality Level 7” selected.
I only use Level 2 or 3.
-
I run a HD7970 6GB card and I run level 7 and everything turned on, in falcon setup for graphics. I did notice that you have Anisotropic Filtering Mode set to “override application settings” while mine is set to “use application settings” in AMD Radeon settings. I know how confusing this might be, but with everyone having so much different equipment in play it gets to be more of trial and error in settings. Good luck with your card, I truly hope you can clear this matter up as you have a very fine video card. You might also go to the AMD forums and see if anyone is having similar problems with this card.
