Helios: images / path to images
-
Hey there!
I can’t find the (path to the) images Helios is offering by default.
Within Helios editor, when I place the “White Push Button”, Helios indicates on the properties panel that the path to the image is “{Helios}/Images/Buttons/white-push.png”
This makes 100% sense to me but I neither find the image located there nor the path itself. There is no “Images” folder under Helios (program root).
The only image folder I find is in the user specific profiles “[username]/Eigene Dokumente/Helios/images” This folder is empty.
Even a system-wide search for “white-push.png” did not bring any results.
Where are those images?

Hard-coded somewhere in Helios, I think. If you go back to Gadroc’s website, he offers a .zip file of some of the images that come with Helios.
EDIT: Here you go! I’ve not checked what’s inside though.

Thank you very much - exactly what I was looking for!
Actually I was on Gadroc’s website but just didn’t find the images for download…
Thank you!

You’re welcome!
Out of curiosity, why do you need these images? What’s wrong with what’s available in Helios?

I’m working on a panel background and I’m using Indesign. I just need the various images as placeholders when working on the layout (just for preview purpose).
Actually it did work quite well and I combined original Helios images and images from your profile and added some minor adjustments from my side and I’m pretty happy with the result so far.
At the moment I’m busy with placing all the stuff in Helios and setting up the callbacks.
I really appreciate your work (and the work of the rest of the community) very much! Without guys like you spending so much time and effort and producing tutorials and so on the sim would definitely not be there where it is. And it makes fun digging into the work of others and to learn in order to work on your own stuff.
Here’s the Indesign layout I’ve produced so far. I placed the switches on separate layers so I can just toggle them on/off and can easily export the background as the main background image in Helios.

Seems like a lot of work for a placeholder!
Thanks for the kind words and good luck!
