Touch screen issue
-
Hola Group,
I’m just diving back in and have 4.33U3 installed just fine. I’m using 39" display as my primary, and I have secondary touchscreen (ACER 22"). I’m using Helios and RogueBMS v201 as my profile (via Gradoc’s website).
I’m able to extract all of the important stuff just fine. When I touch a control on the MFD or a switch, I can see my touchscreen reacting to my finger touch, but nothing happens on the MFD. No display change. I can click on a toggle switch, and it’ll go up and down, but still no effect within the cockpit of my primary display. As an example, I’ll click on “laser arm” on my touchscreen, and it’ll toggle up/down just fine. When I look at the primary screen, the laser switch doesn’t move at all.
I’m just missing something as to why my touchscreen commands aren’t being accepted?
any hints?
TIA,

Did you load up his .key file in BMS (and in Helios)?

Hi Ice,
thanks for the reply.I have his falcon bms.cfg “rogue” configuration file, and Rogue.key copied over to BMS. Plus, I’ve loaded “Rogue” in the Setup. Also, I have the supplied Helios profile copied into the appropriate sub-dir, and that image loads up just fine via helios.
Just can’t seem to get the touch to work.
I’ll keep digging….

ICE - I’ve tried your profile as well. Download the key file, copied it over and loaded. Same with the images and helios profile.
The helios profile loads up the template just fine. And as I’ve noted, I also loaded your key file.
When I use my touch screen to toggle the laser arm, that switch will move up and down. But no change in my primary 3D cockpit view.
I’m just missing something that links them further. something simple…. I’ll find it.

“Copied over to BMS” is not enough. You have to LOAD it onto BMS. On the BMS screen, go to SETUP -> CONTROLLERS and under Current Keyfile, it should say “BMS - FPM by -Ice” –- see pic below.
Also verify that the proper .key file is loaded onto the Helios profile… again see pic below.
Obviously if you’re using a different profile, you’ll have to load the appropriate .key file for that profile.
Hope that helps! -
found the issue. after following your editor pic, clicking on the interface “falcon”, and then profile editor, I saw that the key file path was not correct in the “falcon key callbacks” section. Once I corrected the path, all is good!
thank you M8! Now I’m going to have some fun flying BMS with my Touchscreen!!! Woot!!!

Glad to have helped. I know you initially went for Rogue’s profile but give Weepop’s profile a try as well. His current profile is an improvement over my old profile so compare that with Rogue’s work and see what you like.
I’ll be releasing my new profile soon but it’s designed for a 2-touchscreen setup… I may release an updated 1-screen setup after that, but not sure yet.

Cool beans M8! I’ll give Weepop’s a whirl.
Also, I’ve recently added my GTX1080. I’m planning to move beyond my 39" primary & 22" touchscreen. I’m thinking about a 4 monitor setup.
thanks again!
