      Hello Forum

      Something happened today!
Suddenly the MFDs are showing “BLANK” when I load a mission.
I’ve flown many flights at this stage and the sim has always loaded the MFDs with FCR and HSD.
I have programmed the DTE a long time ago and only use the icon on the right side of the start up screen to click up preset #15.
Now I have to press the OSBs to show the FCR and HSD or what ever I need.

I have seen Pianopunk1’s post dated 28th Feb, but my situation is different, I think (?).

Something else happened which may point to the problem, or not.
Today when I clicked up preset #15, before going into the pit, rather than it showing " Kunsan"for example, it showed “OPEN” with a different radio frequency. I exited the sim, restarted it and that problem is gone.
Preset #15 shows the correct airbase name and frequency.

This may have no connection with the above MFD problem. I’m just throwing it in as a possible symptom.

      Thank you for your help.

      Bayonet.

That is strange! Maybe you accidentally hit the cockpit save keybind at an inopportune moment. I think it’s [Alt] + [C] then . I haven’t really used it so I am not 100% sure that it remembers your MFD settings for the various master modes, but that’s the only thing I can think of except for messing up using WPD or copying or editing the callsign.ini file directly.

          @-Vandal-:

When the data Cartridge is loaded via the DTC button, there is a CLEAR button, that will wipe out your callsign.ini file, if you save it. 😉

I avoid that button like the plague, so I didn’t even think about that! LOL.

              Thanks fellas.

              But, I’m a bit confused.
Can I retrieve the previous MFD settings or do I need to reprogramme the DTC?

              Thanks again

Sad news is you have to reprogram it. 😞

Once you do that, backup and save a copy of all your pilot files in a safe place, like your freezer….lol.

Bayonet, if you’re still stuck by 5PM GMT, I’ll send you my .ini files. You’ll need to rename it to your callsign and you may need to tweak EWS/MFDs to your liking. Otherwise, as said, it’s a case of setting it all up from scratch. You could try using WDP? It’s a great, but complicated, tool and will allow you set up your entire DTC and more.

                    Thanks again Chaps
I looked at the Modes tab in the Data Cartridge and all MCDs show MfdOff.
I’ve no idea how that happened as I avoid the Clear tab like the plague.
                    I’ll reprogram them again.
Planehazza, many thanks for the .ini offer, I’ll see how I get on with reprogramming it.
