Also wondering about this. Just found a plugin called SuperMacro which can do complex keystrokes but I’m guessing it would still fail with multiple keypresses at the same time. Admittedly, I can barely press one right key at a time anyway
There still doesn’t seem to be support for the rotaries outside of Flight Simulator or X-Plane as far as I can tell.

RE: Left Console Snap View adjustment
@airtex2019 said in Left Console Snap View adjustment:
I don’t know any easy fix. Maybe try hand-tweaking the fov number, in those rows (presumably it’s the 59.999 value) to around 80?
Initially I thought what I did was working fine as I was seeing the exact screen that I froze on for the custom view, but a later attempt just left me with a screen full of sky and unable to change snap views afterwards.

Yes, it broke something

Left Console Snap View adjustment
Can the snap view of the Left Console be moved up? The lower row of controls is partially obscured, such as the EXT LIGHTING Master Switch so you can’t see it in the Snap view during ramp starts. I know most are using head tracking but for those without may prefer a stable view of the console, this might help. My monitor resolution is 2560x1080…not sure if that matters here.
Possible solution? Or will it break something?
I was able to use the instructions in Section 8.4 of the technical manual to make a custom view which shows the entire console. I then took these values and replaced the coordinates in the 3dckpit.dat files for the jet I was testing with. I thought this might break where the “clickable” spots were in the snap view but at least in the Training mission Ground Ops, this seems to be working as I hoped.I only edited two 3dckpit.dat files in Falcon BMS 4.35\Data\Art\CkptArt, one for the F-16B-15 and also the 3dckpit.dat in the root CkptArt folder to test this out.
Here is the original line in the .dat files and my edited version. Only the bolded text was modified.

RE: An android/IOS tablet MFD extractor that just works!
Turns out it was the VPN blocking it. I added the server application to VPN bypass list and also need to run the server app as administrator…now working.

@hoover said in An android/IOS tablet MFD extractor that just works!:
disable your firewall temporarily and see if that helps with discovery of the server.
No help with the firewall shut down.
@criticalmass said in An android/IOS tablet MFD extractor that just works!:
@bdlmi2018 Also, try running the server as Administrator (is BMS running as Administrator?).
Nothing changed there either as far as I can see. I also tried entering the IP of the server PC can it just shows the same “connecting to…” message on the client with the IP listed.

RE: An android/IOS tablet MFD extractor that just works!
Hello. Wish it just worked for me
All I’m seeing on my Android devices at this point is “Discovering Server.” I am trying with an old Samsung S2 tablet and a Chromebook. Same thing on both. The firewall on my PC appears to be allowing the app in both directions. Falcon is in the air.
On the server, it’s running. Here’s the log. Is there something else I need to do? I did add the line below into Falcon BMS.cfg:
set g_bExportRTTTextures 1 //Allow BMS to export ICP and MFD

RE: Saving joystick and keyfile settings?
@quasi_stellar Thanks. That might be the problem. I have never set up my sticks in alternative Launcher before. I was going to use SemlerPDX’s X-52 Pro Keyfile, which might to be a problem as far as Alternative Launcher is concerned since it wants to use BMS-Full.

RE: Saving joystick and keyfile settings?
@mj3437 All good on that option. It wasn’t checked. Thanks.

Saving joystick and keyfile settings?
Should the BMS setup be saving things like my selected joystick and bms key file selection? Every time I go back into the Setup/Controllers screen after exiting BMS, I have to re-select controller and keyfile. I’m using the alternative launcher if that matters…as I once again try and learn how to fly this sim.

RE: Joystick Gremlin?
Just trying to figure the best way to go about recreating the wheel
Seriously, I want to basically do the same thing that the default CHCM layout does. I need to dump CHCM because it has some compatibility problems with other things I run on my PC and I’d love to build myself a template layout with some functionality duplicated across different simulations.
-
RE: Joystick Gremlin?
JG configuration files can be shared just as easily as CHCHM files (it’s only a quite simple .xml file), but sharing mine would unfortunately be of little use to you: it can work only for someone who uses the very same game devices I use.
Yes, figured that…I’m just wondering if maybe loading them up would be useful just to see how things are configured. There’s really very little out there on how to set up JG, unlike the many vids and manuals for CHCM.
-
RE: Joystick Gremlin?
Thanks ewildcat. Are you able to share your config files the way CHCM allows? I started trying it out last night but as soon as I went in to do some calibration it was spitting out an error code and I got no further
