Perhaps this is a good time to stop and think what you’d like to get out of your stick-time.

Are you willing to go ’ all the way ’ then there are only a (very) few squads that have set such a realism policy. E.g. just to be able to pass the start of the learning curve to pass the ‘recruit’ status might take up to (some times over) a year.

Do you want to fly Co-op server setups, e.g. F-O stuff or Veterans gaming (if it’s still up though), then a lot of SQ are suitable imho. They teach you all the necessary steps to be able to navigate & communicate with fellow humans in the theatre, sorting bandits, choice of weapons, methods to deploy them, etc.

If you want some ’ in between ’ SQ, then be aware that most SQ’s have their own - as you call it - Lingo, rules and procedures and derive training skills for a part of their ’ home -based’ f16 RL SQ’s. Quite a few have connections to RL fighter pilots, who sometimes are willing to give hints for useful training exercises, and even some help in setting up more RL COMAO - TE’s, if you’re lucky even with SPINS (Special Instructions).

Ok, all in all, perhaps ask around with some SQ’s what flavor they employ and see it that fits your taste.

Also, if you like to do some specific training, you could also post that request here on the forum… my experience is that quite a few are more then willing to give you training practice which are really instructive and fun.

Just my 2 cents,
