OK, blue. That explains what was nagging me. After I memorized the ramp start, I learned about DTC. So whenever I practiced landing, I always had the DTC loaded to the point that I had forgotten I set the tower frequency in the DTC.
… yep … but knowing first how to set a freq manually and how to program channels assignation via ICP without using DTC …
Because the day you will (for any reason) have a scrubbed DTC, or a DTC load fail, on a big MP session …
