The issue has been fixed.
The reason was that for an unknown reason, I just cannot remember why it happened, the default VHF channel had been changed to ch 6 in the data cartridge. Because I have never changed the Com 2 channel, ever. I have only ever changed channel on Comm 1, using channels 3, 4, 5, 6. I only launch from the runway as I do not wish to use time up flicking switches or waiting in queues. I had missed the point that I need ch 15 to speak to my flight.
There is no bug. There is no need for my idea for channel numbers to flash if both comms are selected with the same channel number.
It is noted though, that nobody saw that I was not able to speak to my flight because I did not have ch 15 selected. Nor was anything to do with frequencies relevant to the problem, as all relevant frequencies are loaded into the DC.
Someone advised me to read f***ing manuals. Believe me, 27 years servicing the Hawk, Jaguar and Tornado requires a hell of a lot of reading manuals. You cannot make anything up when servicing an aircraft, or it will fall out of the sky.
