HI guys,
Sorry is this is posted elsewhere. I tried the search & read many posts in various areas, so hopefully not repeating a post or asking a question previously answered.
I just ordered the X-56 after much deliberation. Would have preferred the X-55, but couldn’t find one online anywhere (too old now I guess). I would have liked to see what the TM F-18 package is like, but more than likely expensive and release date unknown.
My question(s);
1. Will X-55 mapping work with X-56?
2. Anybody know of a good F-16 mapping, or is it worth going through & setting up up exactly how you would like it to work?
My take is, I’d prefer to learn someone else key mapping whilst flying, as opposed to starting from scratch to set one up myself.
Thanks guys.
@Cloud:
Have you look to see that Falcon4.0 is still installed on your system, the physical folder?
C9
Yep, the folder is there.
I did a complete computer reboot this morning and it suddenly works. Just so weird! Anyway thanks for the advice.
Not sure what the ‘breakfast’ quote means. Is hat a term for wasting someones time? Sorry guys. Appreciate the help
Cheers
Open up the theater list file with notepad and add this to the bottom line and save
Add-On Panama\Terrdata\theaterdefinition\Panama - Redux.tdf
Add-On Panama\Terrdata\theaterdefinition\Panama.tdf
Yeah, had done this as part of the install process. That’s when it stopped booting and gave me the run error saying I needed the pay version.
Not sure I can still run Falcon 4.0, as the updates to BMS would have negated that??
Utter confusion.
Is your 4.0 install still there ?
Where did you get “Panama” from ? And where did it install too?
LOL. Sorry.
OK, got Panama from this forum. No, installed falcon 4.0 a week ago, then BMS 4.33 u_1, u_2 & u_3 and have been using fine.
Followed the install instructions that came with Panama, which did ask me to make a text addition to the ‘theater.lst’ in Falcon BMS 4.33u1\Data\Terrdata\theaterdefination folder
It’s looking more like my screw u me thinks….
Gents,
My first post, so firstly, G’day!
Secondly, a big thank you to all the contributors from the BMS team, including everyone who has made add-ons, etc. I have recently come across from DCS having not played Falcon 4.0 since around……when it first cam out! I am a convert with the infinitely greater depth of systems operations & weapons delivery options.
So, my question in all this? I just went to fire up BMS (have been running update 3 without issue) & I get a message “A licensed copy of F4.0 must be installed”.
When I go to Steam, the latest message says a complete reinstall is required to update fixes and provide greater system stability.
Now, it just so happens I had completed an install of the ‘Panama’ theater. Coincidence??
My question; would my problem be most likely my install of the Panama update, or with Steam?
Thanks in advance guys.
Cheers
