Sorry guys if I came off as arrogant or something. Nothing can be farther from the truth and no arrogance was intended. The community has done an amazing job with BMS and the upgrades in any category (realism, visual effects, sound, flight model, AI, etc) are something that should be lauded. There has been well over a decade of work on this and I have to explain my (regrettable) tone as I was frustrated at the time.
It was supposed to be more of a “you guys have put so much effort into this and it’s ultimately so complicated to get right that I defer to you in my frustration” meaning even some fool (me) who dicks around with configuration files all day in other contexts can’t seem to fine tune it correctly. I think my problem is the Windows drivers themselves which, of course, nobody can do anything about. Since it works for at least most other people, there’s obviously something screwy with the way the Saitek drivers are interfacing with Windows. I just didn’t give enough information to adequately explain the problem. Since I’ve clearly pissed the forum and mods off, I’ll not ask for help and just I’ll figure it out myself. If I figure out what the problem is, I’ll post an update explaining how to fix it for anyone else having similar problems.
In any case, hats off to the community for a great sim, programming, and engineering feat. I didn’t mean to come off as a dick, but in retrospect I realize how it was interpreted that way since I just flat-out didn’t provide enough information. I’ll stop while I’m behind. I apologize.
