@Snake122
I tried your solution at that time with no success (sorry for not confirming it back).
I already accepted that most probably I will never know what fixed it, just happy that it works.

RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
Its working finally!
The only thing I changed is the monitor.
I assume it has something to do with the aspect ratio.
My old Dell display gave up on me and I replaced it with a Samsung.
The main change was the resolution: previously it was 1920x1200 now I am at 1920x1080.
I know it sounds a bit goofy, but that is the only change I made, and poof, BMS is entering VR without any issues and great performance.
Hope this info can help the devs and others.
Thank you everyone trying to help me out.
Cheers! -
RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
Just a small update.
Its the same in 4.37.1.
I am also sure its not related to performance, as it does not happen when entering the 3d world, it happens when the it switches to the loading screen, after I choose ramp, taxi, or runway.
Strange. -
RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
Thanks, but no luck.
I think I just give it up for the time being, and continue to fly Falcon on the flatscreen.
Will go to dcs an Il2 occasionally for my VR itch. -
RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
Well, looks like nothing helps, BMS reinstall with all defaults has the same result.
I wont do windows reinstall…
Is it possibe to ignore SteamVR and use openxr?
Or BMS is relying on SteamVR exclusively? -

@Dragasath
Sorry, its not that easy with family.
Will find some time. For the time being I will try to find the reason behind this crash, as everything else works perfectly, except VR. -
RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
@Dragasath
Did not know that this has beta, sadly no improvement.
On the other hand, due to this VR patch I started to fly Falcon again (in no VR… obviously…:) )… I almost forgot how great this sim is… and so different from DCS. -
RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
Additional info, it doesnt even get to the loading screen.
Th last thing seen on the desktop is the capture below, I had time now to make the screenshot during the dump.
This means it switched the ui screen to the vr resolution but crashed before the loading screen:

RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
@Dragasath
Tried, with no success.
Initially my assumption was, that performance related settings shouldn’t cause CTD issues, but being the base of F4 as old as it is… you never know… -
RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
@Seifer
That is already set, I tried the things suggested for VR users, but most of them looked like performance tweaks.
This one could have caused it, as it is a desktop duplication of the VR view, but sadly did not help.
Anyway, I must to leave it as it is for today, will continue tomorrow, thanks for all the tips so far! -

@Seifer
Where should I start to search for those logs?No overclock right now, doing it occasionally (I am looking at you DCS), but never had problems with it.
Interesting info with the resize, it happens right when it enters into VR3D from VRDesktop.Additional info:
Maybe it can be interesting that I am using 2 monitors, one is 1920x1200, the other one is 1920x1080. -
RE: 4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
@Tumbler31
Done the dump thing.
It made 2 dumps during the crash, within a short interval.
I put both into 1 zip file, uploaded to my drive, here is the link:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ofWRMqoi5TKsIHjcWZ1CGMtY0TssWOuu/view?usp=sharing
Thanks in advance.

Will do as soon as I get home. -
4.37 CTD when entering 3D VR
Hello everyone.
4.37
Win10 latest patch, Nvidia 1070Ti., HP VR1000 WMR.4.37 works perfectly in non VR mode.
In VR, 2D UI works as a charm in the VR environment, but as soon as BMS switches to the 3d world, everything is closed, I left with the SteamVR mountains…
If I monitor the 2D screen, at the moment of entering the 3D world, I can see the bms window switching to different resolution (I assume for VR) but immediately closes.
No logs dropped, or at least none in the user/logs dir.SteamVR is working in WarThunder, Il2 and DCS without a problem.
I also uninstalled openxr, to make the whole environment clearer, no difference.Thank you in advance for any suggestions, I will also try to investigate it more in- depth.

RE: WIP-New Korea Tiles (….yet another project).
Shameless bump.
This is something I really looking forward to, thanks for all the hard work. -
RE: 3D Cities for Falcon…
I keep an eye on this, looks promising, keep up the good work!
