@Arty I’m wondering if my current rig will be able to handle 4.38 in VR at an acceptable frame rate, I haven’t tried 4.37 VR yet as I have just about got my VR headset (Quest 2). I want to stick with my rig at least another year or 2. I still have my TrackIR though in case it doesn’t work out

RE: Problem with Ch Manager and Win 11
@igorry I’m talking out of memory and not out of the controls in front of me but as I remember you assign the dx shift first then add the dx shift to the map along with the button you want to shift.

RE: [BMS Roadmap 4.37 U3] News from the BMS Team
I had to look twice to notice it was a screenshot and not a photo. Damn good job by the team. It really is remarkable what has been done if I look back at the days of 4.32 when I started.

RE: C'mon, 4.38-- I'm ready for ya now.
I think I’ll be fine for 4.38, not planning on upgrading in the next 2 generations of components. Maybe when Zen6 and RDNA5 comes out will be my next upgrade. ATM my PC strikes a perfect balance for 1440p and 144hz.

RE: Yet another update from the frontlines... 4.37 U3 progress
@MaxWaldorf First off thank you for all the exceptional work put in. Second in terms of ball park VRAM usage what would be the difference in current BMS vs Updated with all stuff mentioned? Will 8GB GPUs still be sufficient?
To the whole BMS Dev team you truly have created a wonder of a sim.

RE: Janhas site.
@JanHas I haven’t had time to even touch BMS in months due to Family XD I’m just downloading latest releases for the day I might have time again.

RE: Need advice to choose between Thrustmaster TCWS x CH pro Throttle
TWCS, I have the fighterstick with TWCS sold the CH throttle. The TWCS has a better feel and longer slide. The CH Throttle is good though will last much longer than the TWCS.

RE: BMS 4.36 CTD
@luke777 Maybe try uninstalling your display driver with DDU and then reinstalling, if that doesn’t work maybe try an older driver… Or reinstall 4.36.

RE: BMS 4.36 CTD
@luke777 Disable full screen optimization? Right click on shortcut or exe, compatibility, disable full screen optimization must be checked.

RE: Fps irrelevant stutters

Well I can maybe point to some other things you can try, this coming from me who has never experienced stutters on Falcon BMS. Download display driver uninstaller (DDU) and boot into safe mode and use it to completely remove you graphics driver, then reboot into windows and install your latest graphics driver. If that doesn’t work, disable all unnecessary startup applications from windows task manager and disable all services you do not use with services.msc in windows. If that doesn’t work, install all DirectX June 2010 runtimes. If you tried all those and still get stutters then it might just be down to hardware that cpu i3 3120m is a very old and pretty bad CPU at 2.5Ghz with IPC not really up to standard, along with not knowing how much of the CPU is being saturated with background tasks and windows. Along with a pipe through of PCIE 2.0 might also be an issue. I would argue that you can stop troubleshooting and just accept nothing will work bar a hardware upgrade but maybe I’m wrong so try out the recommendations.
