@Crassus the better and I think already made request would be to have the link section dynamic so that user can configure a certain amount of links to their liking.
Requesting a specific application to be added might only be valuable for a fraction of users that use that application

RE: Jan Has F-16 LV5 Update packs
@icer The issue is not the skins but if you integrate them into a theater and the host doesn’t run the theater without you might get ACDATA missmatch and not able to connect if host has same ACDATA check enabled.
One thing I recommend is to apply Janhas update packs with JSGME so you can easily switch between a theater version with the pack and one without

RE: RWR <M> Fix for 4.35.3
@mav-jp yes but due to the fact that he got shot down without a <M> if you don’t review acmi one might assume it must/might have been a SA-10 Even so it was a AIM-120 or AA-12

in Terms of the OP question: The AL is still a seperate open source Project hosted on github, so you could add your own buttons and compile it to have those changes. But it would require some basic C# programming skills and an IDE such as Visual Studio to complile your own version
The buttons are basically defined in the MainWindow.xaml
private void Launch_Third(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { try { string target = ""; string downloadlink = ""; string installexe = ""; switch (((Button)sender).Name) { case "Launch_WDP": target = "\\WeaponDeliveryPlanner.exe"; downloadlink = "http://www.weapondeliveryplanner.nl/"; installexe = Properties.Settings.Default.Third_WDP + target; if (File.Exists(installexe) == false) { System.Windows.Forms.FolderBrowserDialog fbd = new System.Windows.Forms.FolderBrowserDialog(); fbd.Description = "Select Install Directory"; fbd.RootFolder = Environment.SpecialFolder.MyComputer; fbd.ShowNewFolderButton = false; System.Windows.Forms.DialogResult dirResult = fbd.ShowDialog(); installexe = fbd.SelectedPath + target; if (File.Exists(installexe)) Properties.Settings.Default.Third_WDP = fbd.SelectedPath; else { System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(downloadlink); return; } } System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(installexe); break; case "Launch_MC":

RE: Programing CH HOTAS with a shift button.
- Assign your button you want to use as shift. Using Pinky DX shift the shift button works as multifunction button. If short pressed it provides pinky switch ie changing Zoom on FCR/TGP/WPN and if pressed and hold acts as shift button
- If you want to assing a function to the shifted layer double click on the function
- on the pop up window press and hold the shift button you assinged in step 1 the DX Shift should go from grey to white. While still pressing the Shift button press the button you want to use, Release the button you want to use, Release the shift button hit save
You should now have 2 functions on one button on normal and one shifted. So in the Example if I press button DX2 it would send TMS up if I press DX3 and DX 2 toghether it send DMS up

Sorry for the overwrites, folks
Seifer , Bad Boy … please … DO NOT APOLOGIZE GUYS !!!
Seriously!!!
We are spending nights and days working on something free then offer it with absolutely no counterpart. If some ppl are unreleased by what we are providing, they can either stay on previous version and take no ricks … or … whatever … not our concerns.
We are not obliged to publish change-logs. We are even not obliged to publish the updates.
The only thing they can say is “Be careful, I’ve noticed that … etc …” and / or … “Thank you”. That’s all.Personally, before installing something, I make a save. This is basics.
Hey … Where are we!?! Seifer, Bad Boy … when was the last time you’ve enjoyed the game while some other only complains … ? … They just owe you a big thanks.
I personally work on various free and open source projects in my spare time. I none of those projects if we delivered someting that broke an existing installation any of the devs I work together would not have had that mentality of telling the users to “Go and f… yourself”. we try to fix it or provide a solution
Neither am I obliged to owe you anything nor am I not allowed to state a critisim.
Noone requested a full changelog but a simple statement that files within the /User Folder get overwritten.
On the one hand the Relase anouncement states U3 doesn’t overwrite your cfg file (maybe as an outcome of the overwrite in U2) on the other hand it doesn’t state that other files get redeployed nor to give an advice to backup the User folder for U3.
I highly apreciate the apologize of @seifer @Bad-Boy

I’d be weary to suggest someone nuke their entire OS and pay for a new Win10 key when the task at hand is a text file edit consisting of 3 lines but to each their own method.
No need to pay even today it’s still possibile to upgrade a Win7 to Win 10 official and legally through the Windows Upgrade assitant for free

RE: Weapon Delivery Planner released
@acorbin82 Check your TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj of the theater your are trying to update the Kneeboard. Check for dds files 7982 - 7997.dds. You might find one of them different in filesize of the others (default size is 2049kb). If there is one with another smaller filesize it’s corrupted. delete that one and regenerate the kneeboards with WDP again

@Buzzbomb For the Stick if you wan’t as close as it can get. You basically have 2 options
Winwing F-16EX or FSSB R3 both are Force sensing non movable sticks currently representing the upper end of what you can get

https://winwingsim.com/view/goods-details.html?id=341For all the rest such as Dual Engine throttle working UFC includung MFDs with monitor, ICP you might as well browse the winwing store as they offer the whole set of what you have listed in you list

RE: [Release] LSOBot - A Carrier Landing Grading Tool
@Tumbler31 said in [Release] LSOBot - A Carrier Landing Grading Tool:
That’s weird, some serialisation issue?
That’s the route I will follow along first. Structural a vhs converted to acmi.txt through Tacview shouldn’t be any different from the compressds acmi.txt we get out of BMS right now.
I know that there are certain acmi parameters not written/exported in the current implementation in BMS but those are not releated to Telemetry data, more unit data such als callsign, pilotname writen to a single parameter instead of the explicit ones -
RE: [Release] LSOBot - A Carrier Landing Grading Tool
@Tyrant thanks for the offer. I’m familiar with VMT code already. Even I don’t have Clojure in my stack as a professional java dev, limiting factor currently would be more time and availability
-
RE: [Release] LSOBot - A Carrier Landing Grading Tool
@Snake122 maybe I find some time to look into the source code of LSObot in order to identify what might be missing or which data it relies on and if that data get stripped from the compressed acmi recording that BMS defaults to. I’m pretty sure with the future implementation of Tacview Realtime telemetry the recording format will change significantly

RE: BMS Other Fighters Mafia (BMSOFM) Journal
@Tomcattwo said in BMS Other Fighters Mafia (BMSOFM) Journal:
@oakdesign ok thanks. Since LSOBot will only accept .txt.acmi, you will need to open the .zip.acmi in Tacview and save as .txt acmi.
Regards,no you can just unzip the zip.acmi no need to do that in tacview. As shown in my screen where the zip.acmi was opened in 7z and the acmi.txt open from within the archive
-
RE: BMS Other Fighters Mafia (BMSOFM) Journal
@Tomcattwo
Neither nor it’s zip.acmi which is the compresses version of acmi.txt
only if set in config
set g_bTacviewAcmi 0
BMS produses flt and vhs. The only usage for now to do so is the experimental feature for Real Time Telemetry in Tacview which relies on eading flt file. But I think that that will be changed at least in .38 with a more direct interface to tacview -
RE: BMS Other Fighters Mafia (BMSOFM) Journal
@drtbkj try running with acmi flag in launcher to start recording as soon as you enter 3d and not with the avtr switch. You still can trim the recording in tacview if needed
-
RE: BMS Other Fighters Mafia (BMSOFM) Journal
@Tomcattwo BMS records into acmi files directly now unless you epicetly set the option to not to do so and still produce vhs. So the whole converting from vhs to txt.acmi in tacview is not needed
Flt2vhs is integrated into BMS no need to have it as separate programm -
RE: TM F-16 / Cougar Flight STICK-POV speed of movement
I personally get better results by using the additional Cursor curve options instead of reducing Cursor speed
you can play around by adding these to your Falcon BMS User.cfg an play with the values
set g_nAxisExp_AXIS_CURSOR_Y 80 // Axis exponential curve. Should be in 0 - 100 range. 0 is disabled (default)
set g_nAxisSat_AXIS_CURSOR_Y 50 // Axis saturation. Should be in 0 - 99 range. 0 is disabled (default)
set g_nAxisExp_AXIS_CURSOR_X 80 // Axis exponential curve. Should be in 0 - 100 range. 0 is disabled (default)
set g_nAxisSat_AXIS_CURSOR_X 50 // Axis saturation. Should be in 0 - 99 range. 0 is disabled (default)
other than that would be to use joystickGremlin and adding curves to those axis
