Su-35 Kulbit Maneuver Demo

Just out of curiousity… what data did you edit in the FM?
Almost all the NASA tables in the -afm file. Those include a Cm table adapted from a RL (probably) F-22 graph and adjusted for a higher AOA operational ranges:
And Cl, Cn tables for better roll-yaw stability and control quality.
CY tables for better yaw maneuverability at high alphas. So that you can do something like the pedal turn.
And finally for the FLCS part. AOA onset value for the activation of departure & spin prevention system is changed to 180deg so you can get rid of it. Some limits are removed and pilots can have control of the aircraft at high AOAs.

Double kulbit.

Shadow only?
This is outstanding… WOW.I’m pretty sure after that no one will DF against this.
But if the plane is poor at T-W ratio, then it will become a disaster…Try this TVC modified Mirage2000-5F:
Always good to backup ur Data\Sim\ACDATA first:p
Toggle MPO to Override position (=HOLD) and here you go.

If it could help you, here is a doc I love about TVC

I really like “Double kulbit” video….what kind of “free camera” is used to do it?
Or was it in MP?

Just Eyefly View. You can activate it by adding “-ef” to launcher.exe as command line and enabling external mouse view.

Guys I’m not gonna release this Su-35 cuz there seems to have a mysterious bug with it. And also many other reasons for example, CL/CD data is the same as F-22 as in stock BMS4.32 and I don’t have the time or knowledge or software or hardware to create one from scratch; roll-yaw characteristics still not quite right in negative AOA regions; roll/yaw maneuverability still need to be tweaked especially at high AOAs; etc.
However you can have a try on the modified M2K at post #16 to simulate how well can a TVC equipped angles fighter do against an energy fighter such as a F-16. You probably don’t want yourself be in high alpha all the time or you’ll hit the deck. Feedback is welcomed.
PS: Why I choose M2K is also because it is fairly detailed modeled in terms of CL/CD/Thrust data. When at over 60deg AOA, you’ll experience a huge drag with almost no lift and you feel like being a speed brake.:D (or drag chute more precisely)

Shad Still got those early vid’s of your Cobra’s?
I still have them, there over three years old now Feb 2012. This one Hard Deck filmed for me.

Found this old pic aswell from a late night on the bottle with you that night we cracked it.
:wfish:

Pretty much the same huh?

And one thing i noticed: If smoke’s on, shouldn’t it come out of the engine even with the SU-35?
Do you have any mods installed?

Not if you changed the engine position in OFM files. But I don’t recommend you do it for other aircraft cuz it may screw up the pitch response.
And I uses the model from Tom Catz’s Model Pack. But that model changes everything including the wingtip position, LOD center, gear position, etc. So I corrected them by myself in the OFM and AFM files.

I would be very interested to see your DAT file’s.
If this is possible please PM me further.
