LOD editor for installing Hayab's models
-
@Cloud:
You can start with this tutorial to get some beginning tips:
Then get this .pdf file by JanHas and read it also: http://www.mediafire.com/view/e93ccav23ez333i/Model_Install_with_LE623.pdf
That should get you a little more familiar with working with LodEditor.

He knows how too add. The problem is the lack of info. The S-60 destroyed contains only one level of LOD. Hayab added 4. My guess the only thing what has to be change the number of LOD value in parent and I showed how looks mine.

Regardless, the tuts show how to do that. You only posted a pic, you didn’t explain how to get the result of the LOD Distances.
At any rate, he needs to brush up on the use of LE!!

Thanks Cloud 9!
I already found the JanHas one and those models I can perfectly implement in the database with the instructions that you showed.
But the Hayab Packages (at least the first one I tried) doesn’t have any installation explanation. -
I know how to replace the LOD’s but is Cloud 9 said: I don’t know which distances I need to set for the extra LOD’s.
I did indeed found out how to set the #LOD, but all distances say then 0. -
Just enter distances and update.
(Many times for old models I found useful change LOD distances because with old modelds todays HW can deal quite well on higher distances.)

It’s not working properly… the LOD number all states 0. The distance you can set, but LOD number I don’t know how to do it correctly…
-
What version of LodEditor are you using??

I’m using the latest version which I found on JanHas site

After you set upper part of parent (DOF, number of LOD) press update and you will get as many LOD levels what you set.

That’s true, but their LOD # and distance state 0…
And so does the Parent say 0 and this can’t be changed. -

The point is changing these values…

???
The point is changing these values…
I’m not making myself very clear apparantly, I’ll give it another try tonight (not home at the moment) and I’ll post some pictures with it
Appreciate your patience -
This is what I see when selecting the S-60 for both my current DB and from a fresh install:
After this I clicked ‘Destroyed’ and I see again the same in my DB as from a fresh install:
As showed in the second picture the parent says in the top left “0”.
This I can not change and is not correct compared to your DB!
Its not as simple as just changing that number. The fact is: I have to little info on how to set this thing up correctly and I don’t want to mess up
my DB.
