Korea 2012 for BMS 4.33U1
-
Version 1.1 has be updated and superseded. See this thread for version 1.2:

EclipseJPW has an ILS bug fix:
While doing some carrier quals with my squad we noticed ILS wasnt working with the carriers. Looked at the station+ils.dat file and compared it with the main 4.33.u1 file and it was missing the ils freq. copied and pasted the one from the main korean campaign and it worked like a charm.
I will add the following suggestion during subsequent update patches.
Update, I want also mention that Korea 2012 Megapack works excellent in both versions of BMS 4.33 and 4.33 update 1.
Hotfix 1:
Folks, here is a very fine update provided by Starrats. Before I give you the details, I want to give a big hats off to Starats. He took the time, on his own instruction and went through the Carrier campaigns and fixed the exploding aircraft issues as well as the lack of radios. I am providing a download link below:
Installation Instructions
Cut and Paste Add-on-Korea-2012 to the following directory:
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\ directory
overwrite existing files. Original Korea 2012 2.0a install still required.
The download file contains pictures and text detailing the changes that were kindly provided Starrats. Please, let’s all give Starrats a big thanks for this important bug fix.
Update 2.0A
Folks, I am proud to unveil my first update to BMS 4.33 Korea 2012: update 2.0A. In this update there have been numerous bugfixes. The most requested fix is that the change of the US Navy Carrier in Carrier War and Redux to the USS Enterprise.
Secondly, a new campaign has been added; Carrier Maxx. In this new campaign a second USN Carrier outfitted with F/A-18C and Av-8B+ jets has been located due east of the original carrier found in Carrier War and Redux. Also a new DPRK Carrier outfitted with Su-33 jets has been located on the northwest coast of North Korea. While human takeoffs from the carrier with the Su-33 is not possible with current carrier and aircraft, human trapping on the Kuznetsov is very viable for human players.
Finally, I want to give a big thanks to Dema for producing the above pictured skin for the Su-33. Producing such a high quality skin over a low poly model was quite a feet in itself. I want everybody to give Dema a really big thank you for his effort. I also want to give Revientor a big thanks for taking some time out of his busy life and producing the Carrier Maxx UI page. Last but not least, a big thank you for Jackal. Jackal has been spending the last six weeks beta testing the campaigns, locating bugs and testing my fixes. It is because of his effort that I am confident enough to make this release.

Gentlemen, I am proud to unveil my newest version of Korea 2012 Megapack, version 2.0 for BMS 4.33. In this version of Korea 2012, I have completely rebuilt all campaigns using the new, stock BMS 4.33 KTO as a base. The KTO campaigns are much better than the Microprose Campaigns that I used originally. Also, all campaign aircraft compositions have evolved since the last release. All Korea 2012 campaigns now contain the AV-8B+. Eurowar gets a newer, better composition of aircraft. Among the most notable new additions are the Rafale, the Viggen and its amazing 3D pit, and more Mirage aircraft. All original Eurowar aircraft such as the Tornado and EF2000 fighter remain. Finally, Carrier War and Redux ships get four squardons of F/A-18 jets on a newly placed carrier but also a squadron on E-3C Hawkeye and EA-18G Hornet support aircraft as well. Finally, with the massive improvements in 4.33’s naval code, the F/A-18E/F/G are now fully capable of catapult takeoff in the same manner as the Classic Hornet. On the Red Side, fighters have been upgraded by me in the same manner that Mort did in the 4.32 version.
Install instructions: Once you extract the file from the above download link, you will find and Add-On-Korea-2012 folder. Cut and paste this folder into your C:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Data folder. Now, I have given you two methods to perform the next step.

Add-On-Korea-2012\Terrdata\theaterdefinition\Maxx.tdfIf you do not wish to edit your theatre.lst file, I a have provided one for you so that you can simply cut and paste it into the baove mentioned location.

I want to give a big thank you to the BMS team for proving us with an amazing 4.33 release. I also want to give Falcas a huge thanks for his Mission Commander program. This amazing piece of software literally saved me days of work that I would normally have to spend if I were using TACEDIT. Finally I want to give a big thank you to Jackal for Beta Testing this release during the last few days. It is because of his attention to detail that I was able to correct several last minute bugs before this public release. Everybody, please enjoy this release and post screenshots of your stickwork.
From all of those who helped me to get where I am now, Happy Falconeering

Chuckles,
thanks a lot for your kind words, always happy to give a little helping hand - almost no need to do that, your theathers are even better than their original (4.32) version on themselves.
And mates, plese believe me on this: the Bugs, and the Tornado especially, really rock! Try to launch some KEPD, by instance, and you will see what I’m talking about… not to mention all the huge lot of goodies are in.
Well done, Chuckles, and “Ad Majora!”, as ancient Romans used to wish at their age to all the successful people like you just are - translated a bit freely, it could be for “Always better and to higher results!”
With my best wishes and regards,
-
wow that was quick!! fantastic!!

Good job on making this theater, but wondering why your using the older carrier model. I believe only the USS Enterprise and USS VINSON have the new models.
Can you update it to use the new models please?
Apart from that, Really Good! Enjoy flying the new Jets in Korea! -

If you don’t have time to do this, can you tell us how to do it with Mission Commander or TacEdit please ? if it’s not too complicated

Apart from that, Really Good! Enjoy flying the new Jets in Korea! When I did my rebuild, I mistakenly believed that a Nimitz Class Carriers were getting the new model. For now, changing the carrier will wait for a little but since I am working on a 4.32 theatre rebuild for BMS 4.33. Once this conversion has been performed, I will revisit Korea 2012 MegaPack, and correct the bug reports.

You can easily change the carrier with mission commander, just load your saved campaign, right click on the carrier and click “edit” or “edit tasforce”.
I changed mine for the USS Carl Vinson and the only thing I could report after one flight is that I had to launch from the launcher on the right, and when I landed, another flight was taxiing and the tower didn’t tell me to abort so I landed throught one of the plane, fortunately I didn’t explode or anything.
I don’t know if these were related to the fact that I changed the carrier though

Thanks for this Chuckles, DL now!
-
lOOKS ABSOLUTELY MARVELLOUS. Well done indeed.
I must need to be doing a bit of local config work as I have trees growing out of the middle of my runway. Is there any help available for making configuration changes to suit the theatre please? Thanks in advance.
Terry

Terry, Korea 2012 is just a campaign modification. Any issues with terrain, trees etc. are controlled by the configuration manager of your base install. You might want to turn down the amount of trees in the BMS control panel in the graphics tab.
-
Gavin,
You can use the boats from the last version of Guam if you wish. i.e. the Nimitz,Vinson and Ray-gun……LOL!!!

What Airbase has a problem Terry?

Everybody, please enjoy this release and post screenshots of your stickwork.
Asked, done.
With best congratulations again,

I just saw this update: thanks for all your work and I will definitively install it this evening! Can’t wait to fly the Viggen in a campaign scenario!
-
Chuckles…does the Eurowar use a European map? When I install, the missions and TEs, along with Campaign, are all Korean-based.
-
It’s in Korea
There is no working European theater available for Falcon/BMS.
Edit: by which I mean: Western Europe

Oops…Balkans

in the carrier war - are the tower frequencies for the carriers different? The ones I found at http://www.e-haf.org/PublicFTP/320/UPLOAD_FOLDER/Diafora/BMS_NAVAL_OPS.pdf don’t seem to work :S Neither does ‘set tower’ option.

The tower frequencies should be different. BMS assigns unique tower frequencies to each carrier. If you set tower, make sure select the channel 0 to default.
