X55 not talking well to bms 4.33
-
Coolcat is looking for some input on how his saitek software is not talking to bms consistently. From axis to keybinds. Anyone have this issue to comment on?

Good morning.
For what this could be useful, I’m using Logitech’s latest software (8.0.134.0) and drivers (8.0.116.0) 64 bit version for my X-56, and all runs flawlessly. I’ve found out nothing specific for the X-55, so at this point I have to argue that they are unified.
Have a look here: http://support.logitech.com/it_it/product/x56-space-flight-vr-simulator-controller/downloads#Hope this helps.
Good luck! With best regards,

I tried X-56 software for my X-55 and my HOTAS was not recognized by Windows 10. However, I don’t remember the version of the X-56 software I tested, nor the version of Windows (a little more than 2 years ago). If the newer software works for the X-55 please let us know.
I can report that my X-55 with the last published sofware from Saitek did work after the first major Windows 10 update. I did not like the Saitek software though and built a keyfile using DX commands. Snelle was immensely helpful: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?24506-X55-keyfile-Full-DX-Programmed
He uses the Saitek software to get the slider on the throttle to work (I don’t use the slider <<stubborn>>) and provides a way to use the throttle’s analog mini-stick to be used as a radar cursor control. I got used to the mini-stick after awhile. All other controls are through the keyfile.Latest X-55 software I know about is here: ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/full/x55_rhino/
IMHO Those two links are very helpful for X-55 owners. Good luck!</stubborn>

Vapor, is your problem perhaps uncommanded callbacks? I had a -55 throttle that I used as a secondary switchpanel/gear level. I had constant problems with that that multiple reinstalls/driver updating/etc. never corrected.I also tried the -56 software without success. I have never (thank goodness) had the problem with any other stick. I have assumed it was a hardware defect on the throttle, because I never found anyone here who had the same problem. I finally “retired it”

I find it easier to do it manually (dx commands) on any stick that has issues

Thanks for the suggestion, apologies for not being clear. x-55 has always worked for me, i just didn’t enjoy adjusting/readjusting the saitek software. i tried the newer Logitech X-56 software hoping for better software and future software compatibility with windows, but, at the time i tried, the stick was not recognized by the saitek software or windows (because of the driver?) I am happy with the x-55 stick & throttle and have a lot of fun flying a virtual f-16.
