Cougar stick Pots bracket arm broke. is this fixable?
-
Sooo over the holidays… I pulled out by cougar hotas tolog a few hours in BMS. Just started to fly and all resistance in the stick suddenly goes away.
I open up the base of the stick and found the bracket arm (part of the pots) for the 1 axis part broke.
Is this somehow repairable. I’m guessing replacement parts are no longer available? or the custom upgraded pots that used to be available?
I love the cougar…I really don’t want to have to replace it at this point.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I guess you have the missing part? You can bond this back together with chemical metal as a temporary repair until you find a better option, for example FSSB or similar

Mine broke too years ago, and I replaced it with saitek a x65, which is of better design/manufacture…
The metallurgy in the Cougar, like the entire manufacturing process for it, is substandard.

All of the Cougar parts are made of pot metal, and basically non-reparable.
You can take a look here, where there are a lot of 3D printed replacement parts available for the Cougar -

…but I’d just go get a far superior Warthog stick. And have!
