HOTAS cougar Throttle problems during Taxi
-
My throttle syncs perfectly well in-game when moving it from minimum to maximum when entering 3D world.
However, when trying to taxi it does not respond… I physically move the stick to full AB and it doensn’t move.
I can also see the throttle in 3D world moving simultanuously but RPM stays at idle 70%.The curious thing is, when I flip the throttle to full AB and pull it back, the RPM increases and the jet starts to roll.
This strange behaviour happens only during taxi, before and after flight.
100% Reproducible in my case.I don’t have the idle detent turned on, but I’ve set it in the controls to the minimum.
I suppose that doesn’t matter because its not activated. Thanks in advance!

same here

My cougar does the same, it is the s4 paddle programed to be the wheel brake and auto pilot over ride. Till I have enough time to get Dunc’s program to my liking I use keyboard for brakes.

So you are saying if I just just the letter ‘k’ on keyboard to break it should be working as it should be?
Because I do indeed have the HOTAS cougar with the Dunc_DX profile. -
That is what I 'm doing for now. I’m using Speedo_Falcon profile which has the same function as Dunc_DX profile. When you use S4 paddle the fuel flow go to 0 on the ground. If you are in the air and pull throttle to minimum and press s4 paddle the fuel flow will go to 0 but bounce back up to 850 . So it is tided into idle detent some how. Maybe in the holidays I will have time to play with Dunc_DX profile more.

I’ve had the same problem and worked on a fix in this topic https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?23981-Throttle-inputs-on-taxiing-not-always-being-read
In your Foxy profile (when using DuncDX) go to the line where it says ‘BTN S4 /H’ and just delete that whole line. save your Foxy profile and load it to your Cougar. In BMS assign your wheel brakes to the pinky pedal through the keybindings screen.
This is the way it worked for me.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll give it a try this evening!

I actually never used the shifted function of the pinkie pedal before so I have no idea if it’s still there or not. No way to test atm since I’m not near home.
