Programming TM Warthog HOTAS for F 16
-
Hi Guys,
U am a newbie to BMS and had built a 737 Sim some years ago. However I am trying to find out a couple of things about programming the TM Warthog HOTAS to replicate the “real” F 16. From what I’ve read so far it all seems complex so I’m looking for help with the easiest and best way to program the HOTAS. I’m not very good at computer languages so I need the simplest method that will allow me to use the HOTAS as if it was real. I know ther are profiles written bu guys, but they do not help me understand how to setup the throttle and stick. I’ve looked at Foxy and it seems complicated, Target seems to be just as complicated. So if any of you know any articles that you can direct me to that are easy to understan I’d be very grateful
Many Thanks
Rob

Best and easy aren’t the same. TARGET comes with a pretty good PDF document describing the language.
The scripting language is pretty simple especially if taken in small bites. The first thing you probably want to do is have a pen-and-paper type idea of what output you want for what input.

Take a look at the information and profiles that we have here at BMS. They are in the “ForumFalcon BMS TopicsJoysticks & Input Devices Warthog.”
The first two profiles are fairly correct for the stick. -
Morphine’s profile as updated by Gastone is a good one. Been using it (and the original) for a number of years.
