FreeTrack is not working on Falcon BMS 4.33 64bit version.

I’m now using FacetrackNoIR as a replacement and it’s working better than freetrack so far!
It also has the same capabilities. -
FreeTrack does not work for me either on64 bit version of the f4.33

I gave up on Freetrack for BMS 4.33 x54 couldn’t make it work no how. I now use Opentrack and it works just fine with both versions. Of course I have yet to dial in the curves to match my Free track setup for x32 but I am getting close. The difficulty lies in replicating the pilot’s range of motion when constrained by belts ,helmet , canopy and such to prevent out of body ( cockpit) experiences. A real immersion killer for me.

If you input right FOV into PointTracker, and model coordinates are real units (millimeters, inches), your translation raw values should be real values as well.
TrackHat folks recommend using fov 75 on PS3 Eye, that is the larger one.

Thanks, I missed that

Hello all
I just got a clip IR and a PS3 Eye camera. I am quite new with it and setting up for bms 4.33 is been a big challenge. Beginning to regret while I did not go for the naturpoint tractor. It is been so frustrating getting to work with freetrack(with 64dll), open-track or facetracknoir. Little success with open track but head movement is just dancing around. Cannot pinpoint where I getting it wrong.
I will appreciate it if someone could help with step by step instructions on how to get it to work or a ready made setup I download.I am in deep trouble!!!

CheersI use the FacetrackNoIR, first thing to do is to tweak the settings of the PS3 camera so that you can only see your 3 LEDs and this is before going to FacetrackNoIR.
After that, ensure that you constantly have 3 LEDs tracking in FacetrackNoIR (whatever your head movement) by tweaking the filter settings and ect…
Then start optimizing your curves to your likings. Best is to deactivate all except X-axis for example. Then jump ingame and tweak it. Once optimized, activate the y-axis and do the same thing. Continue until you’ve done everything. Take it step by step and don’t continue before you’re sure it is working, otherwise you will get into trouble and make it yourself much more difficult. -
Thanks a lot for your guides. Really appreciate it. Facetracknoir is programmed to use the first camera. My system already has an inbuilt camera which is so inferior to PS 3 camera and that is what facetracknoir picks. I will try your guidlines in open-track and see how it goes. Once again thank you Bash52

Can’t u set it to use the PS3 eye cam as default?

Can’t u set it to use the PS3 eye cam as default?
I haven’t explore this suggested option. I read somewhere that it is hard to do but I will Google to see if there is any possibility to setting the PS3 camera as default.
Again thanks. -
I got the PS3 eye cam working. I disable the inbuilt camera in device manager and facetracknoir recognized the PS3 eye cam. Next step is to start tweaking the settings. Cheers

Doesn’t FTNoIR provide a “input source” dropdown that lists all webcam-compatible devices? I think it does on my end, can’t check it right now as I’m stuck at work…
