TomsKorea2015-Reloaded

Burner,
thanks a lot, also for your useful tips.
Best regards,

The question with trees still got no answer. Also, frankly, one of the chaps said “I want the high rez stuff”;), showing a pretty decent lack of understanding what consumes ressources in BMS.:D
The 4.33 “default” Korean theatre is the benchmark, since trees are so to say crafted around the terrain and the variety of textures is enormous.
Thus it is the high end version.
Tom’s terrain looks also gorgeous, and for guys with lower end rigs like myself, may be a good alternative. But to me the cookie crumbles with wether the trees work or not. No trees, no fun, IMHO, since 4.33.:D
CheersTom

OK; I see trees;)…but they look randomly, like typically when the theatre is not reworked for 4.33. That is precisely one reason why Korea by Polak is so darn good, textures, trees and airbases have been aligned meticulously.
And AFAIK he worked years on it. -
TomsKorea2015-Reload really the Best solution for the Low End PC !!!
I found an interesting effect during performance/FPS testing - Korea 2012 with TomsKorea2015-Reload.
Test show 10 FPS difference (FCR and TGP ON). Original BMS 4.33 Korea - 18 FPS, TomsKorea2015-Reload - 28 FPS. The test was in the same location and weather conditions. Trees and grass ON/OFF does not affect the FPS (sometimes not more than 1-2 FPS change).Low End PC:
- Win7x64;
- Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5800 3.2GHz
- RAM 8Gb;
- AMD Radeon HD 5700.

i want to ask a question.
did you replace KOREA forlder with 4.33 Korea folder.
I mean is it suitable with 4.33Yes it is suitable with 4.33 (tested in the campaign)! I renamed the original “korea” folder to “ORkorea” and made new “korea” folder with Tom`s files (terrain, texture, weather). Nothing else is changed.
D:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Data\Terrdata

thanks
but i downloaded from that linkk

Just make a new “korea” folder and put all 3 Tom`s folders in!
P.S. Also cloud textures from Tom`s weather folder look very good!!!
-
oh thanks a lot
i will do -
-
Thanks a lot. It is working at least 10 FPS i saved
-
I tried that, too, and also with some FPS gain, but don’t you, friends, have problems with trees growing all over an airbase, including the runways?
-
Yes, for now with trees and grass problem. I simply disabled them to fly BMS 4.33 with Low End PC )))
I hope one day Tom Catz fix this problem. -

Guys,
Quite a lot of time went to make sure that all of the new tiles in 4.34 have proper edits for paths and areas. As you realize all that is campaign critical. Some of the older tiles …yes original 4.32 version had them incomplete (at best) and sometimes pretty weird and sometimes just plainly wrong. TC tiles carried those paths and areas unchanged. Do not ask me how that has been not noticed, while playing campaigns b4 and how much that has now influencing lower FPS (since it is been corrected). Then there is this autogen tree and grass problem, but this is the least of the worry as far as campaigns are concerned.

The best way to PM to TomCats directly ))) He is the only one man who could do it the best!!!

From my test autogen trees and grass don`t affect FPS (only 1-2 FPS change). IMHO, low FPS problem somewhere else.

Tavor: It is texture variety. And IMO the new texture variety in this sim and others alone is a reason to go for a new rig, even if I myself have to admit it will take a while.
Every 5 years sims make such a step upward…then again using Tom’s textures here is a very logical and doable alternative, as they rock as well.
The thing which makes Polak’s tiles so unique is also the fact that Ted was ABLE to assign the trees very smartly utilizing the new terrain engine, while Tom was stil working with 4.32.
Wise ass smart talk off…as if I knew the first thing about making Falcon tex.;-) -
