Wouldn’t it be easier to select a typically slower-flying ac, like the Spad, and just set VTOL in F4Browse?
No. the fun comes from true vertical lift!! hover, pull-up deacceleration with quick rudder turn, and precise rudder control-nose pointing. and autogen trees make low-fly feeling right - the sense of speed!
BTW glad you make LOD flying.
@buddha - those lod should work in AF - you got to learn LodEditor basic function first - i think there’s a thread discussing “adding or replacing model in database” somewhere.

alright, more test show here…i replace av8 with another chopper lod - this time the gun turret is DOFed as pilot head movement - so turret slews randomly - just cosmetic.
the key test is AT16 AGM - sixteen loaded. the default guidance setting is IR all aspect as AGM-65D. As i am more familiar with IR AGM fire procedure… this beast is a true killer…havoc to GU!
of course i knew AT16 is not an IR AGM - it’s laser-beam rider… so, i edit its guidance to Laser with F4browse, and edit HP loadout to carry one Sniper XR pod.
After some frustrating pod practice, AGM warm up, DED settings… it WORKS-laser-guided AGM! it only works in PRE mode.I fire dozens of laser AT16, and the impression is…
1. the operation procedure is more complex and tiresome than fake IR AGM.
2. TGP lock on tank, but AT16 has rather high miss rate - just hit the ground very close to target.
3. chopper needs higher alt to allow TGP aiming and lasing. fake IR AGM seems working well at very low alt.the last pic shows… gun turret aiming at right hand side… i am flying over one T72, two miss AT16 craters. the background burning crater is a direct hit.
anyway - i need a co-pilot to do TGP aiming and lasing!!:mrgreen:

Thank you for your answer ccc… i tried in falcon bms with no problems your old models but in alloed force it says error 76…any guess on what can be wrong? Or probably is impossible to add them in allied force. I asked because i want to have two sims…my fantastic and realistic bms 4.33 and a more easy allied force full of models…and easy to fly…;)

for nuc rocket, you really dont have to use pheonix lod.
if you have got ccc-lod-all.zip, in 0-AMMO folder, AMMO-misc subfolder, there’s an AIR-2A model zip. -

The latest update is tweaked to fit BMS4.33. Some features that once worked in FF are deleted or adjusted. -

with the successful test on laser-guided AGM/AT16, i rush to test another one -AS30L.
as expected, it works. three rounds of AS30L to sink an Osa.
pic shows my ac loaded with one sniper XR, all my wingmen only carry AGMs.
part of the test is to check if AI can use my lasing to hit target…the test result is YES - though AI wingmen have no LST pod or edits, they can do the job. i circling over ships and keep lasing for quite a while, watching wingmen AS30L hits on TGP screen. The only frustrating part is, wingmen response to attack call is slow, and won’t fire all availble AGMs…:(
the pic shows one wingman carrying AGMs back home…
alright - call it a day!
to sum up, old AGM can only be used against small boats. -

av8 AFM do make lots dreams come true…over one decade ago i messed up a theater mod and want to reproduce some cool historical scene…now it seems make one big step forward…
boarding a converted container ship… no PD edits, so ac not placed on right parking spots…
when looking outside from 3d pit, the view is totally different from ordinary flat-top carriers…i’ve to drive thru a gate to landing/taking off pad. i can see wave moving thru fence…

since i’ve added atlantic convoyer in TE, time to reproduce historical scene…
i loaded four rounds of AM39 on SE… to test if AM39 work as AGM84 and check their submodes… no problem! just hold the prickle button a big longer while and missile away! all modes work very well - the only problem is you have to power up AGM one by one - fire first round, back tup SMS page and power up the second, fire and back to power the third.
anyway… check this…one AM39 soon to hit Atlantic convoyer while one harrier Gr3 just leaving the deck.
ship is smoking…normally we won’t get that close to see it, just for taking pc.
