Falcon MFD Software for android tablets

Thanks, the “get image” button is so tiny I overlooked it
Would it be possible to add a zoom function to the briefing display? The briefing text is impossible to read even on my 10" tablet.
All the best,
Uwe

Hi Komucu,i’ve orderd a 12.1 inch tablet (1600 x 900 pix) ,is there any chance the program will work in that size to,and if not is there a way to resize it?
-
Ok,i got it working on a 12.1 inch tablet,no problem…but the tablet sucked so i bought another one, this time a 10 inch…the Falcon mfd app works like a charm!!,many thanks:)

Hey, thanks for this fantastic app, really useful and adds another dimension to the sim. Unfortunately I cannot get the MFD or ICP buttons to work. The MFDs etc. all update from the sim, and any HOTAS control input (e.g. radar cursor) is shown, the flight data is there and updating, but no matter what I try I cannot get the buttons to work.
I have tried all the suggestions from this thread but data transfer is still a one way deal. It may be my key file that is in error so if anyone who has a working key file with this app that they would be willing to share so I could test if it was that then I would really appreciate it.
I have been a simmer for around 30 years (Amiga 500 and f-18 interceptor anyone lol) and have the original Falcon 4, Falcon AF, FSX, DCS A-10, take on helicopters, etc. etc. I find that the product the BMS team have produced here is outstanding, and I am so glad I found this. Can’t wait to try 4.33.1.
Thanks in advance for any help given, and thanks again to BMS and komurcu.

Have you tied your Keyfile within the server? Just making sure that was accomplished to narrow the problem.

I have the same issue - “cannot get the MFD or ICP buttons to work. The MFDs etc. all update from the sim, and any HOTAS control input (e.g. radar cursor) is shown, the flight data is there and updating, but no matter what I try I cannot get the buttons to work.”

Thanks for the response Dracfalcon.
Please excuse my lack of understanding, but I loaded the keyfile in to the server, it showed a few yellow lines that were nothing to do with MFDs. I did try the tablet mfd buttons to see if they registered on the mfd picture in the server but nothing happened. I also disabled antivirus, made sure everything was able to pass through the (Windows standard) firewall, tried the server files in the FalconBMS root folder, and so on. So I figured the only issue could be the keyfile. Before I had to teach myself how to find unassigned keystrokes to assign to the yellow commands I wanted to make sure that it was necessary.
Is there something else I need to do in the server? Has anyone produced a step by step as I see many have problems with getting the keys to work (although I figure it can’t be too hard if even I can get the data to the tablet).
My system is Win 7 64 on I7 3820 (@4.3ghz), 16gb ram, GTX 770, tablet is Lenovo A2 20f if any of that matters.

PM me with your email address. I will send you my keyfile for testing.

PM’ed. Thanks for your help.

Okay Dracfalcon, your keyfile worked, the buttons on the tablet registered, loaded it into the sim and it worked there too (but screwed up my HOTAS assignments). When I loaded in my keyfile and tried the tablet buttons I got the Key does not match error. I selected key assignments for all the yellow lines (trial and error till I found one available) but still got the same error. Also your file seems to have a lot of command conflicts, how do you get it to export? (or not using BMS keyfile editor?)
Thanks for helping me with this issue, I guess the eventual resolution will be valuable for others too.

I sent two emails to you. You have two options: (1) Use my keyfile and reprogram your HOTAS to it, or (2) Using notepad, copy and paste the command lines you need from my keyfile to your keyfile. There may be other options, but these are the two I can think of.

komurcu,
I’ve been using your server/app for a couple of years now, and I never fly without it; the two-tablet setup works great for me. I’d like to submit a feature request: Would it be possible to add the TWP buttons to the ICP/RWR mode, perhaps just beneat the RWR? It seems there’d be room if the TWP buttons were arranged in two rows of three buttons each, rather than the three-row triangular layout in the actual cockpit. I think it would be great to be able to not just see the RWR but operate it as well through the app. Thanks for everything you’ve done with building this great resource!

oilmanzz, have you tested Conrad Traxx solution in post #761? Basically replace all “0x” in your keyfile with “0X”. Had the same problem as you and this solved it.

Thx for the key file works great many thx!!!

Hey PedroF, yes this has solved it for me also, I missed this first time through the thread. Did a find and replace and all working good now, but I have learned a lot about the keyfile structure, etc. going through this exercise. Kudos out to Dracfalcon too for his support.
Hmmm, now to try 2 tablets……

Go for the 2 tablets. I have it, and it works great! Always available for support.
