SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS support thread

But can’t get engine RPM more than 20% despite I move throttle forward after SEC light goes off.
Did you release the (virtual) throttle’s IDLE detent?
-
I have ramp started successfully a bunch of times in 4.33 U1. It does work. I think cannon has it right. The way I do it is, once RPM is at 20%, advance the throttle about halfway, hit the idle detent, and then bring the throttle back to idle. You should see RPM advance past 20 almost immediately.
-
yep idle detent callback will ne necessary Andre. It simulates moving the throttle handle from cutoff to idle (it goes kinda vertical to horizontal with the press of a small detent)
If you want to bypass the idle detent shortcut you will need to enable the Idle cutoff from the hardware menu of the BMS config (configuration option from launcher)
But then you will need to set the red line on your throttle axis from the Controller Ui menu to set the idle point on your throttle axis.the simplier for testing purposes is to hit the idle detent keystroke

Thank you guys
Hitting Alt+i and moving the throttle forward I’ve got the engine running. -
We’ll turn you into a Viper pilot soon enough Andre, forget that DCS stuff
Thanks for the JFS work!

Hi Andre,
Were you able to reproduce the issue with the rotor staying on after the G-effect has been used?
I often have this issue and most of the time its after pulling the stick first to get +Gs and then quickly pushing the stick to get -Gs.
Sometimes It is possible to stop the rotor again by using the same trick of changing Gs ±
Just hoping to help you finding the issue. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I was flying F18c whenever this happens, not tested F16s yet.
Cheers Obi1

Hi Obi1,
no, I haven’t caught it on F-16. -

Thanks for the additional info Obi1.
It turned to be easier to catch the error flying F18. Will be fixed in the nearest SimShaker beta update. -
Talking of the F18, has anyone tried a Cat shot using with SimShaker? Does it pickup the fact that it is a violent takeoff?
-
It picks up the fact that you are rolling but it’s not violent and of course very brief.

Hello Andre,
Looks like I can’t get the seat to work in BMS. I’m sitting on my Jetseat, tested it with the massage app and that is working fine. Installed the Simshaker software and set the sliders. Also I clicked the checkmark for BMS support.
As soon as I launch Falcon BMS with the simshaker software in my tray, the software generates two identical application error windows, both indicating that the application Falcon4_BMS.exe can not start correctly (0xc000007b).
Do you have any idea what is missing here? Do I perhaps need to activate shared memory or something?
Thanks!

OK.
Could you please give me a screenshot of the error? Here it is. BMS works without a problem. The 2 application errors keep appearing as long as simshaker is active.

Not too much informative …
OK. As a temporary workaround please try to uncheck Falcon BMS support in SimShaker and run this application
