Saitek X-52 Profile

Hello.
I just started with Falcon BMS, and of course I need help already.
I did everything to setup this profile as it should, but in the Profile Editor there is no sign and reactions of the buttons.
Any help is appreciated! -

Any help is appreciated!A lot of callbacks and keys have changed since 4.32. This profile, most likely, won’t work anymore, and needs an update.
I made one for the Saitek X-52. It may suite you.

This post is incorrect and misleading. This profile was updated to 4.33.1.

Hello.

I did everything to setup this profile as it should, but in the Profile Editor there is no sign and reactions of the buttons.
Any help is appreciated! The profile is almost entirely DX so it will not show in the profile editor. It will show in BMS. Use the files in posts 321 and 340. Start with Keysmonkey’s files from the first post then replace the duplicate files with the ones in post 321. Depending on what you like more you can use the keyfile from post 321 or post 340.

Guys, my shifted keys are not working… can someone help please? I’m using 4.33.1
Sorry guys, THIS is my problem too. Shifted keys are not working. Thanks Viking for the answer. I got it now with the profile editor.

The problem POMBO was having was that his kefile was corrupt. You either have a corrupted keyfile or are trying to use the one from 4.32 in the original post. For all the newcomers out there, you need to match your files to the version of BMS you have. If you see a post from 2011 that has not been updated, it is not made for your BMS version. If the file is from a post in 2015 then make sure it says it is for 4.33.1 or at least 4.33.
Mike, follow the directions in post 321. If you like the new keyfile in post 340 then use that one.

I’m using keyfile from post 340. I have a fresh install of BMS 4.33 U1. I’m sorry I just can’t figure out how to make working that pinky… Where should I exactly put these lines: set g_nHotasPinkyShiftMagnitude 256; set g_nHotasShiftQuickPressTimeLimit 500
within the falcon bms.cfg?
I’ve put them right under the Config.exe Settings.
And I always load Saitek profile before running BMS. -
Did you do this?
•To enable the mapping of the clutch button to “HOTAS Cursor Enable”, disable clutch mode in your X-52 properties (see third pic).

I don’t see the misleading….nor the update or the 4.33 version mentioned on the first post.

That is because you didn’t read the thread. I am not Keysmonkey so I cannot update his post. You really should read a thread before you butt in and make incorrect misleading posts.

Or you should just have answerd that his post is not updated, and you made a new keyfile. Or better yet, make a new post with the updated keyfiles, so that people, and moreover newbies, don’t have to read 35 pages.

You can do that if you want to. I’m trying to clear up the bad info you posted. I have no intention of making a new thread, but you can if you want. It’s pretty simple to go to the end of a thread and see if there is an update, or use the thread search tool to search for 4.33. If someone’s not smart enough to find it then maybe they aren’t smart enough to fly BMS or load this profile. I will help anyone who needs it, but I haven’t seen enough traffic to justify a new thread. But, by all means, go ahead if you think that is what should be done.

It’s not bad info regarding the original post.

I didn’t make the keyfile update. Just an idea to make it easier for what people are looking for. Generally, the first and last post is what people first read, specially lengthy ones.

I think this is not how someone should treat people or newbies… BMS has already a steep learning curve, and making things more difficult for them, specially just a profile, is not good idea.

Everybody? Including the ones you mentioned above? Now I’m just confused.

Yes, everyone. Find one person who has asked for help with this profile that I haven’t helped since I updated it. Do I have to make a new thread to get you to stop trolling this one?

Viking is helping everyone, even foreigners like me, and he did nothing but good work not opening a new thread! We own this guy a lot for his time and patience with new pilots and noobies. Viking has tons of free beers in Rio. Thanks for help bro!

The read me is included in the zip. Here is the HOTAS mapping.

Thanks Viking for your help and answers. Everything works fine now. What confused me was that pinky switch actions are not visible on the controller setup page. It works in-game just fine. But now I’d like to do my own profile, with button bindings that are more similar to the profiles that I’m using in DCS World. It would be nice if you could advice me how can I do that. Maybe a link or something. Thanks.
P.S.: Sorry for my bad English. -

+1, for all the same reasons above. Thanks a lot for the update, Viking.
