I don’t see the misleading….nor the update or the 4.33 version mentioned on the first post.
That is because you didn’t read the thread. I am not Keysmonkey so I cannot update his post. You really should read a thread before you butt in and make incorrect misleading posts.

Or you should just have answerd that his post is not updated, and you made a new keyfile. Or better yet, make a new post with the updated keyfiles, so that people, and moreover newbies, don’t have to read 35 pages.

You can do that if you want to. I’m trying to clear up the bad info you posted. I have no intention of making a new thread, but you can if you want. It’s pretty simple to go to the end of a thread and see if there is an update, or use the thread search tool to search for 4.33. If someone’s not smart enough to find it then maybe they aren’t smart enough to fly BMS or load this profile. I will help anyone who needs it, but I haven’t seen enough traffic to justify a new thread. But, by all means, go ahead if you think that is what should be done.

It’s not bad info regarding the original post.

I didn’t make the keyfile update. Just an idea to make it easier for what people are looking for. Generally, the first and last post is what people first read, specially lengthy ones.

I think this is not how someone should treat people or newbies… BMS has already a steep learning curve, and making things more difficult for them, specially just a profile, is not good idea.

Everybody? Including the ones you mentioned above? Now I’m just confused.

Yes, everyone. Find one person who has asked for help with this profile that I haven’t helped since I updated it. Do I have to make a new thread to get you to stop trolling this one?

Viking is helping everyone, even foreigners like me, and he did nothing but good work not opening a new thread! We own this guy a lot for his time and patience with new pilots and noobies. Viking has tons of free beers in Rio. Thanks for help bro!

The read me is included in the zip. Here is the HOTAS mapping.

Thanks Viking for your help and answers. Everything works fine now. What confused me was that pinky switch actions are not visible on the controller setup page. It works in-game just fine. But now I’d like to do my own profile, with button bindings that are more similar to the profiles that I’m using in DCS World. It would be nice if you could advice me how can I do that. Maybe a link or something. Thanks.
P.S.: Sorry for my bad English. -

+1, for all the same reasons above. Thanks a lot for the update, Viking.
With best regards,

I’m using the no Trackir profile and I’m not getting any input detected from the pinky switch, I’ve copied and pasted the two lines of code into the .config file and disabled clutch mode, and still nothing. Am I missing something?

When you fly you are not getting the expanded views in the MFD’s and shifting is not working?
The no TrackIR profile has not been updated to 4.33.1. I am not sure if it will work. If you want to use the updated profile for TrackIR then modify it to fit then I can help. Post #356

Do I edit the .key file to remap the radar cursor up, down, left, and right keys?
I’d like to keep the TIR keys at the default. Has anyone else already done this?
-
You can map the up, down, left, right keys to the radar slew but you cannot use shift or any other modifier. You then have to go into SST and change the keys to the ones you changed to in the key file. You will lose the ICP commands on the arrow keys, but you can do without them or map them somewhere else.

Modifiers work ok if using old saitek drivers. I posted about it a few days ago. Anyway, the easy option is indeed binding to single keystrokes. I’m using shift-arrows because they’re default, don’t cause any conflict and I don’t loose any functionality. Fully DX here…profile is just for tdc.

Thanks for the replies. Is it possible to map everything just using the Saitek software or is there some kind of limitation that I’ll run into if I do that.

Better to avoid it, 'cause SST software is famous for the conflicts with other software for example Teamspeak settings…Make sure the hotkeys are set at “mouse and keyboard only” and not the default, or it’s 90% sure you’ll be facing pitch down issues in MP flight

I changed the radar cursor keys to another set of keys in BMS. Then I updated the SST software with the new set of keys.
The radar cursor moves (GOOD) but won’t stop moving (BAD) when I release the mini-stick.
Any ideas on what I did wrong?
-
You probably did nothing wrong. You just hit one of the many Saitek problems. Read this thread.
