122 mm rocket BM-21, FROG-7 SS, 120 mm mtrs, M47 dragon atgms, AT-3,AT-4, AT-5,AT-10

Starring: RGM-84, 3M80, SSN-2.
CT data subtype of missiles changed from number 6 Surface to Surface) - to number 3 (Anti-Ship).
SSN-2 with original SWD, where corrected FM number from 66 (it is SM2 MR) to number 161, which the - linked to SSN-3 dat. Also In dat SSN3 poor thrust characteristics is increase to the ability to maintain speed about Mach 1.
3M80 - with original SWD with FM number 72, In dat file Seeker Version corrected to number 21. Final Time increase + 20 sec.
Guidance type set from Radar to TV like as default RGM-84.
With default CT data subtype of missiles number 6 (Surface to Surface), missiles fly and fall like as unguided rockets.

This is insane… Great ground battle…
So how does the BMS guys say on those? Is it ok to go this way or is it wrong way?

I doubt BMS campaign AI can use these expensive strategic weapons properly.
How does the ship choose tomhawk target? It seems missiles are attacking rebel leaders/trucks in woods.
Anyway it looks really cool for TE and movie-making!Good job. Next time load a nuke warhead for big strategic objective.

Like any other ground unit - detects a target within its zone “Bubble size”. For this unit:
Subsequently, according to the characteristics of weapons: Hit chances vs “Static” , “foot”, “wheel” and others – defines the target and use of weapons within a specified range of application, For BGM-109 400 km default.
In this case it was “Wheel” type target vehicle.Similarly it is running and the Frog 7, but she has a smaller bubble size.
And if the player will be within the battalion “Bubble size” area designated as a target, it will be able to watch through the action camera, as misseles fly to the goal.
In this case battalion D-30 “Bubble size” setting range set from 60000 to 80000 to watch battalions with large distances.

Where and how are you determining the “Bubble Size”/“Bubble Dist”/“Range” for a given weapon?

Personal Bubble for weapon:
f4browse>weapans>BGM-109>Ct index.
Default = 60760.But I did not touch this option.
I only increase “Bubble size” setting range for ground Batalion Unit, to see battalions around player im campaign with large distances.
By default, most battalions - tanks, mech, guns, engeneers, supply - have “Bubble size” = 60760, or 10Nm.
It does not have to do that, I needed it for testing.
Target D-30 batalion Unit into the Ships Unit “bubble size” area:

Yes, this was what I was mainly asking about. The 60760/10NM is common and I knew that.
Tks for the answer.

back to the killer bubbles subject…
iirc having more realistic values we must raise the values in most cases witch kills the cpu.
-
Obviously, increasing bubble might have a dramatic effect on CPU load. Maybe not in TE, but in campaing…

Yes, ATGMs can be reverted, I have done in my MOD. With guidance values I set much lower flight path to ATGMs as they works in RL. In RL they are MCLOS or SACLOS which means they fly with very low and literally constant alt. I have posted video about it maybe I still have them.
Nobody ever asked the result for futher usage. I even set natural inacc to model the different survivabiliy of different tanks. T-80 more likely survived the same ATGM attack than a T-55. All tanks could be missed to survive ATGM launch.
Unguided rockets can be visible for HE rocket arty but AI cannot aim with them. Even on helos or AC cannot aim and use them well. FROG-7 in RL would be used only with nuclear or chemical warhead because of its CEP and price.
Another issue their firepower compared to absrect. Artys in 4.32 were totally OP. One battalion of any arty eradticated tank battalions from long range because of hitbox modeling and absraction. The real effect of HE rocket cannot be modeled in Falcon world, sady. The supression and effect of morale in lightly armored units. HE rocket cannot have any real effect of tanks except direct or very, very close hit.

The problem BGM-109 does not do the RL terrain following flying.
