Free track and win 10 no go?
-
Hi gentlemen, I decided to install win 10 here in my pc. First time using it and when I started testing f4 BMS , free track shuts down the system.
Does anyone know a solution for that, if there is any?
Before someone asks, I used to start it prior to falcon, and the software itself starts, but when I click on the “start” button in order to make it active tracking, it shuts down the system.
Tried 3 times and all times I had the same problem.
In the case of a sure “no go” any advice on another free head track easy and reliable to use?
Best regards Metalhead -

Best regards MetalheadNo issues here* but I copied npcclient64.dll from notrackir and then it works:

*besides I have not installed FreeTrack, it is just copied from 3rd or 4th system and I have to do two more clicks to start it properly:
before I click start I have to:
- click on Stream
- choose the resolution
- click OK

I will try that, and then I let you know. Thanks

no go free track , no go open track. the problem happened with open track too.
It seems like I am going to install win 7 again and give up win 10. I can’t afford track ir which i believe there is support for win10 -
Check PM.

PM received, but nevermind, I formatted the HD and now I am installing back win7 which works very nice here. Thanks

I am late as you’re going back to 7, but I can assure you that OpenTrack works perfectly in Windows 10: I have it on my rig and it works better than it used on 7.
FreeTrack difficulties are known, sunrrrise pointed you to the correct workaround. -
Yes, my brother also said the win 10 is awesome, but I could not find a way to make my softs to work….
it is disappointing but it is the way I can fly Falcon… on win 7 sp1.
Maybe the installation of win7 was bad, and with errors when i migrated to win10, but who knows… now I am on 7 and will not leave it untill i have to, the same way as happened to wxp…
Thanks for your concern and reply. Very appreciated.

Ah !!! @ Sunrise, thanks my friend, your help was also very appreciated. -
OK, just in case you change your mind and want to give 10 another chance: did you in-place upgrade from 7 or made a clean install of 10?
Because it’s a fact that the first way is calling for trouble, no matter if you start from a clean system or a dirty one you WILL have more or less serious problems… clean installs always work perfectly instead. -
I upgraded from win 7. Next time, if i choose to install it, of course and i am not saying i will, for sure will be a clean install…
Thank you for the reply -
I’ve had instability problems in win10. It wouldn’t stay up for 4 hours. Turns out some device driver was causing it. Few months later new drivers got released and it’s rock-solid like Linux.
