1st VFW Mission Sharing
-
Greetings all,
Some of the mission creators at the 1st VFW thought that we would share our missions with you guys as we fly them so that everyone can enjoy them. In each post we will outline how many players the mission has slots for, whether or not it can be flown offline, and add any briefing / edited files that go with the mission.
Best Regards,
Fulcrum

Operation Phantom Mission 1 by Demo in ITO V1.0
Our flight from last weekend. Mission files and briefing included in the download link.
DOWNLOAD MISSION FILES
13 x F-16C-30
4 x F/A-18C
1 x F-16C-30 for a dedicated server slot (DCA flight)Can be flown in single player. The AI will do their jobs. It’s not a difficult mission. The challenge is more about how you execute it than anything. If we were to fly it again in MP, I would adjust the push times a little to get more spacing. Was a bit bunched up. I’d also do custom weather but I ran out of time. Feel free to edit. Thx
Briefing and Highlights Video (I know went overboard with the dramatic music but the mission required radio silence so it was boring to listen to datalink chirps and the RWR the entire time and I added music)
Operation Phantom Mission 2 by Demo in ITO V1.0.1
Put the mission files in the Israel campaign folder but I don’t know if ITO TEs before Uri and team updated it can be used in the current version.
Here is a mission we did last weekend though in the same series of missions, and this uses the current version of ITO with Update 1. I didn’t spend a lot of time on it but the guys said it was fun working that city at night with all the ground forces going at it. Use the laser IR pointer and buddy lasing where needed.
Summary: Friendly forces are attacking a city to retake it from terrorists. Fly there, check in with the FAC. He will assign you a killbox to work (if in MP) and your job is to soften up the artillery/rockets and captured armor before our ground forces get there, then continue to provide support as they attempt to overrun the city. The two packages have to provide air support for one hour from 0300 to 0400. The briefing explains how we did that with some flights refueling before going in and then holding until other flights came off (I limited it to 4 flights on target at a time not counting the FAC). It is not a difficult mission. There is very limited AAA/AA/MANPADs and no enemy air threats (there are some enemy helicopters but there are also friendly Apaches working so be careful what you shoot). The mission is more about discipline not killing friendlies when they get mixed in and staying deconflicted with other blue forces.

*Note, we changed Mudhen to be Vipers instead of F-15Es because nobody signed up to fly them, and the Hornet flights were moved to land because the carrier was causing issues in ITO.10 x F-16C-50
4 x F/A-18C
3 x Mirage 2000D
1 x F-15E dedicated server DCAflight that is airborne (we eject him before humans enter 3D)Briefing Preview
INI file is included in mission files for the kill boxes 1BNW, 1BSW, 1BNE, 1BSE, leaving one STPT line for marking a tanker or other targetsDesert Thunder V3.0 By Fulcrum in ITO V1.0.1
DOWNLOAD MISSION FILES
16 x F-16I+CFT
1 x F-15 for a dedicated server slot (DCA flight)This is the start of V3 of Operation Desert Thunder. The mission itself isn’t very difficult, but when you have 16 vipers trying to strike a target at the same time the airspace can get a little crowded. It can be flown offline with a few edits. One thing we discovered during the flight is that coordination is required for those wanting to cross the airfield’s runways in order to not hold up the package. If I were to fly it again, I would probably spread out the departure times a little more.

Here is the mission from last weekend Fulcrum to add to the list:
Airlift Escort - Balkans Update 1 (4.33.1c update 1)
PREVIEW BRIEFING HERE
Couple typos in there (i.e. cougar41 recovers back at the boat - not Gioia del Colle)Seats: 18
2 x C-17 (they are fun to fly in Balkans - try it!)
12 x F-16C-40
4 x F/A-18C*If doing single player I recommend flying as Spade and sticking with Angel1 and protecting them. Also, we couldn’t communicate with AWACS until we got further South - but it shouldn’t be an issue for the mission.

Thanks my friend!
-
Thank you. Looking forward to flying them.
-
Thank you very, very much for sharing.

Really like that airlift mission! Great comms too.

Here’s a mission from last weekend in case anyone needs an MP mission:
BMS Version: 4.33 Update 2 (Default/Not-Modified)
Theater: KTO (Default/Not-Modified)
Seats: 16 F-16s, 4 F/A-18s, and 4 F-15Ks
Mission Name: The Island
Mission Time: Took us a little under 2hrs w/ 22 people
Mission Description: You are tasked with taking out the Kuznetsov Aircraft Carrier, the Kirov Battle Cruiser, and an SA-17 battalion on a island. Redland is island building and Blueland has told them to stop or else. This mission is the “or else” part.
Server Flight: There’s a single F-16-52 at the push point flying a DCA (Serpent1 I think) that we used as the dedicated server aircraft (for those that use a dedicated server). We eject him right before we start.

Mission Briefing: VIEW
Our mission handout: VIEW (just so you know what the intended gameplan was)Known Issues/FYI:
-The Vinson got really close to Kunsan at the end. So much so we had submarines on Kunsan’s taxiways. I deleted the submarines in the file I’m sharing here but I didn’t want to move the carrier and have to redo T/O, marshal, and push times, so I left it where it is (currently 40 miles from Kunsan).
-MIG-29s weren’t reliable enough taking off from the carrier (I was trying to get them to be naval MIG-29s unsuccessfully) so at the last minute I switched the MIG-29s to Su-33s at the Kuznetsov. So expect Su-33s from the ship and not MIG-29s
-I ran out out of time due to the holidays last week and didn’t do the weather so the entire map is fair weather with a lot of cumulus clouds (standard 14kts fair weather winds) I’d recommend doing a custom map.
-We had 6 guys join the flight that weren’t signed up, so two of them took the F-15Ks and the others were in a 4-ship KF-16-52 sweep (Shark1). They won’t be in your package, but at least you have extra seats if you need them.
-In each of the sweep flights - don’t fly the actual sweep legs. Put an SA-17 PPT on the island and an SA-10 PPT on the carrier so you can stay outside of the threat circles and have a sweep flight CAP north, center, and south of the island
-We had Mack31 as Mission Commander - hosting datalink and making the beer run call at push point once I saw everyone marshaled. You can ignore the radio silence to push and/or code words of course.
-Some of my intel is BS (won’t match real life) on the Russian hardware. Some of it was on purpose and some of it was because I was too lazy to Google. -
Thank you very much for sharing.

Hi Demo,
First of all big thanks for the already shared missions.
Are there any plans to add more missions?? It would be very much appreciated.
