For a while now I’ve been trying to create a TE based on the Crete / Karpathos region in the various Hellenic theaters available, but I usually ran into problems with ground units moving through water or over (in real life) impassable mountains. It would be great if some care could be taken that all the roads on Crete are actually connected and can be used by ground units as pathways to their various objectives (say, Turkey holds Sitia airport and starts a ground offensive from there in order to conquer the west of the island, just as an example).
Keep up the good work and I’m very much looking forward to flying over Crete again some time soon! If we can help don’t hesitate to give us a shout.

Priorities guys… For the First release we must see some basic stuff that the team has prioritized.

Tried this theater for the first time last night. Great job, looking very nice. Question though? It appears as though your airbases are not actual 3D models and just textures? Or at least for the taxi/ramps etc. Is there any plans on making them models like they did in EMF? I only ask due to the low resolution textures used to draw the taxi/ramps etc. Very blurry and no sharp edges dividing the lanes from the ground. Does that make sense?

they are actual 3d models. I don’t recall having only terrain tiles. -
Hi Marvin. The theater you tested is for 4.32. So, it’s old story. We are still working on the new one for 4.33.

Oh ok… I don’t know if they are tiles or 3D models… The runways etc just seem very low resolution and blurry and not crisp like other 3 models, so I thought they might be just terrain tiles for an airbase rather than an actual model.

Is there any plans on making them models like they did in EMF?
The guy that created EMF’s AFB’s is on our team, through in-depth analysis and testing we have found better and quicker methods of creating bases from scratch, using less textures and poly’s, thus gaining some extra fps… So, bottom line is, yes, the new Ikaros versions will have even better AFB’s compared to EMF.

Just got back from Crete yesterday, I’m getting really really itchy to fly there in 4.33 again… anything I can do to help with testing / development?
