Try the takeoff option and report if you are still having the exploding aircraft.
I suspect you are talking to Dave, i.e., post#69.
In any case, that really wouldn’t prove anything one way or the other in respect to weak PC specs or issue with campaign file.
I don’t have Korea2012 installed at the moment but I think I have d/l’d it. I’ll check it out and see what happens here.

Anytime I choose certain flights, mostly the CVN65, some will have all three options ramp/taxi/takeoff i have tried choosing all three it doesn’t make a difference, those are the ones where I explode, and then a few select ones have just taxi/takeoff mostly with CVN-70 and rarely with CVN-65, those ones are fine I load on the carrier with no issues. I just can’t seem to find a pattern… it seems random except certain carriers work more often than others.

I’m confused with that also.
It says: “Cut and Paste Add-on-Korea-2012 to the following directory”
But then it says “overwrite existing files. Original Korea 2012 2.0a install still required.”
Is one a patch or are they both complete campaigns - older and newer?

Download the full version of Korea 2012:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/5cxelizcil96ddi/Korea_2012_Megapack_2A.rar
after you have installed everything, download this Hotfix:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/yzcb1oedjk2w99s/carrier_squadron_and_radio_fix_for_megapack.zip
Extract the hotfix into Korea 2012 and overwrite any/all files. This hotfix will help stop the exploding aircraft on the carrier deck.

great!!! Having a few issues though
1. When in any of the carrier campaigns starting off a carrier, and selecting Taxiway. The game locks up at the load screen. I’ve seemed to get a work around for this about %50 of the time, and selected “ramp” at the startup screen.
2. I can communicate with the tower OK, but AWACS does not want to seem to answer me:)
Otherwise, I’m having an absolute blast with this!!!

For 2, you might be out of AWACS range. Fly inbound a bit, and you will likely be in range.
#1 is a known issue. Join your flight in progress (bummer no cat) for that mission, then ramp start on the next one. If it is a new campaign, don’t join the carrier group until after a few minutes have progressed. There is a string to that fix somewhere in these posts.

I did see a post with a similar problem but no real solution to it. I’ll keep looking.
Yeah, I’ve been trying different scenarios with it. It also seems like it may depend on the squadron or version of F/A-18. I have yet to be able to do it as anything other than flight lead.

This answer is really really late I know but if there are 3 options from a carrier there is a malfunction. “TAKE OFF” should not be an option. Make sure you download the fix for that along with theater download. my fix was supposed to make all carriers in 2012 not do that. if any one still runs accross that pm me “starrats”. I am going to have a look at this but I think dave didnt install my fix.

Very good theater 2012 only issue need some fixes to squadrons little mismatched. or add 157th Swamp Fox instead of useing Block 40 squadron.

Welcome also be great if make Korea 2012 little much harder have Russia and China involvied since Allies to DPRK of North and also be great also can move the F-16 Block 52 over to same airbase as the Block 50 where 14th Fighter squadron is on other can also add Block 52 Swamp fox squadron in Iron Fortress please. also
Another bug report the pilot pictures are same picture too.

I’m having an issue with rolling fire campaign, Korea 2012. Bms hangs at the ‘leaving aircraft stand by…’ screen. It doesn’t matter if I’m exiting a TE, instant action, campaign, or dog fight. It always hangs there. I looked thru this post and couldn’t find any bug like this. Thanks in advance for any help!

Problem solved. I deleted the contents of the acmi folder and the debrief file. Then it functioned normally.
