Good Lord Tavor. I just saw this today as I was googling JanHas models. This stuff is mind blowing. Do you plan to make a fully fledged theater?

Hi, Redeye82! Yes I plan to make at least operational theater without campaign. Now I should find out how to make coastline with limited amount of tiles. I have 1770 tiles left. For a good coastline illusion I need at least 900-1000 tiles. And I need tiles for big Dniper river, big cities, mountain areas, airbases and for some additional areas. Anyway, now I exactly know that with 8000 or 10 000 tiles it is possible to create perfect illusion of a real landscape to fly over 1024x1024 km theater. I hope, one day BMS developers will be able to increase the number of used tiles.
P.S. I use definition āillusionā, because 1024x1024 km theater need 1 048 576 tiles. But we could create illusion with only 8000 - 10 000 tiles and my test was to confirm this )))

Interesting. I have never seen tiling done as well as this. Looking forward to see it shape up and like most BMS boy, secretly hope there will be a campaign someday as well;) Either way- great progress! Canāt wait to see more:)

ā¦I have never seen tiling done as well as this.
This is very simple Anybody could make this for any area from Google images.
I have created 9 images from Google Earth - A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3 with 16 km side:
and than, with the great Monster Terrain Tool, I made tiles from each image with the custom numbering:
At the end I have the same tiles matrix for all 9 areas. The difference in tiles numbers only at the beginning - A1 or A2 or C1.
This is typical tile matrix for A1 area:

I mean 28 A1, 28 A2 ā¦.
cheers

I have only ONE combination. I put together A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3 as ONE 48 km side āSuper Tileā and then evenly distributed it throughout the theater. When you fly over the 48 km āSuper Tileā tile you could not see the texture repetition.
