Thanks for the suggestion, but that was not the answer. I tried running at 2560x1440 with my native res set to 100% scaling and it made no difference. Same issue with Tower options box.

Is your Windows text size setting set different than 100%?
You can also edit the size of the comm window by editing this file:
\Data\Art\ckptart\menu.dat -
Take a look at my hotlist.

You can also edit the size of the comm window by editing this file:
\Data\Art\ckptart\menu.datThanks Icarus, that did the trick.
I edited the menu.dat file to add in this line ‘#resolution 2560 1440 375 2000 700 2400’ and also added:
#resolution 2560 1440
#font 0 1 0 8 Arial
#font 1 1 0 10 Arial
#font 2 0 0 8 Arial
#font 3 1 0 10 Arial
#font 4 1 0 10 Arial
to the otwfonts.dat file.
All working great now!
Regarding the scaling, as I said in a post above, changing that from 200% to 100% made no difference. The issue was the same.
Thanks for your help. -
Take a look at my hotlist.
Thanks Arty. I’m afraid I don’t know what your ‘hotlist’ is! Sorry. Can you enlighten me?

Thanks a lot for that - I’m blinded!

I also have one , my mini Mac doesn’t go to the res of hd ready which is my tv. 900€ and doesn’t do basic staff.
That’s bizzare, I had a 2009 mac mini until a year ago, running every day on my 1080p plasma TV as my HTPC. Flawless operation for 6+ years.
In fact I only run windows machines for gaming, the rest of my computers are macs or hackintoshes. Life is too short. -
@Red:
I’m not sure the dev can do anything for you. Your issue seems pretty complicated by your setup - as is mine
I run 6 screens and I have no issue; so you either need to try to explain your issue better - screenshots might help to start with - or accept a bit of compromises.Hey Red Dog, which graphics card(s) are you using? I used to have a AMD 7950 with 6x DP which I was going to use for my cockpit project until the card went missing (long story). I don’t want to do multi-monitor setting, I just need discreet monitors for my MFDs, CPD etc (which I already have waiting to be installed). Thanks.

Right out of the box just doesn’t work at that resolution what ever you do. Many users curse apple for that and for not providing a solution.
I had to “hack” drivers with monitor registration EFI from a generic model to make it work. When I updated mac os it was all gone and now I’m back to lower resolution.
As I said 900euros and doesn’t full cover basic staff as a simple as set your resolution manually.Something familiar must be the OP case. The mac HW doesn’t communicate as other “windows” HW communicate, thus the problems on those rare occasions.
Edit: about the mac mini on HdReady only switchResX can make it work but still with lot’s of pain. U must find the correct settings and apply them. Till now it was not successful in my case.

I think I remember using switchresx on my older 2005 mini to get the resolution I wanted on an old TV with a composite video adapter thingy, but apart from that, it’s usually down to the TV/Monitor, what it’s reporting via EDID information back to the computer. Not all TVs do this properly.
As for the OP, I don’t know what is his issue, but I would point my finger at the AMD video drivers. Apple is not responsible for these on Windows.
