Pitbull time disappearing when launching multiple AIM-120s
-
I’ve been practicing in dogfight 1 v 2 against a pair of Mig 29As, but limited to only 2 radar missiles. Whilst I have the advantage v the AA-10A, I like the training challenge of having to ensure both of my shots count.
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but whenever I try to fire multiple AIM-120s, I loose the Husky/Pitbull timer in the HUD & FCR. I expect to loose the DLZ once I exhaust both my missiles, but are the husky/pitbull timers supposed to remain? Also, seams as soon as the second missile has left the rail, I can break lock completely and both missiles will continue to track correctly.
The below image is just after the first missile has been shot, with estimated time to pitbull 30s (seems a little long, and no husky time first? Possibly because I froze the sim to take the screenshots?)
A second later I shoot the second missile, and all the missile timing information disappears.
I can now break lock and pump, with both missiles continuing to track correctly. Am I just not understanding what to expect, or is this not working correctly? Whilst TWS was used in the example above, I observe the same when using RWS and DT SAM.

That is because you have no AIM-120 left anymore.
Not sure if it does it in the real plane though, I’ll let the experts answer that -
it displays the timing of the second missile. TMS right to bug the 1st target and the timing of the first missile will appear…
edit: scratch that. I see what u mean

this is an old bug from many many years ago.
when u launch final missile, u don’t have that time info.
i dunno why dev team not fix it, or maybe this is the real plane do? -
Its a known bug.
You can get around this by pressing the MSL STEP button. If the last AIM 120 is launched and the next weapon to launch is a SRM , the AIM120 time reaming is displayed until T = 0 or L =0. If no AIM-120s are in flight, the time remaining for the last launched SRM is displayed. The same data is also repeated below the DLZ on the FCR display.
The AIM-120s in flight take precedence over SRM’s in flight -
Thanks guys, I wasn’t sure if I was just missing something.
