Youtube links for learning for a beginner.

Hello
I am trying to get a handle on this Sim without much luck so far.
I have a new X52 HOTAS but I can not get it to lock a target in the air or on the ground.I am hoping that there is a set of videos that I can combine with the training flights that will get
me going. At this point it has been very frustrating.
I have loaded U1 and updated to U3
Thanks

For a true beginner to BMS as I was, I found Supanova’s YouTube vids to be the most helpful… there are far deeper vids out there, but his will get you started

Search for krause falcon bms on YouTube.

I believe all or most of them are gathered in my hotlist. The link is in my signature.

Anything from Krause and Supernova are golden.

Krause is good but its kind of a “learning fast food”.
What I mean is that its not perfect but gets the job done quickly.
If you’re not familiar with SOI, TMS/DMS, etc go read the manual.
If you have touched DCS A-10c for exemple you’ll learn real quickAnd Krause’s videos are made with 4.32 so some informations are no longer correct

I would suggest starting with the basics of startup, taxi, takeoff, and landing. I have prepared videos that work alongside the training manual, which hopefully help to explain the concepts.
For example, a video on AIM 120’s and RWS:
Whichever path you choose to follow, be prepared for extensive reading, and practise. But the rewards are worth it.

Thanks i am reading and watching.
Use my tablet to read while I watch.I need to find a glossary of terms and a keyboard map.

I am a semi beginner myself. A great way to learn is to get a friend and use Teamspeak. If they know more than you then you learn, if you are both at the same level you both learn. One way to accomplish this is to join a group, if you can dedicate a night of the week and stick to it (become a steady member). Another way is to get on open BMS Teamspeak servers like Falcon Online. Always someone there to help out. I fly with a VFW (Virtual Fight Wing) myself.
